YFYIAR is the drunken uncle of text-based adventures: Abusive, abrasive, and maybe a little funny.
to syswhocares + little game review
"the story was stupid (robots go nuts, wow how creative)"
No. It's not about robots going nuts - it's about how it realize it's so similar to human being, not wanting to understand it. Only after shown that it has human emotions (like hate) it breaks. It's the main difference - given the proof it won't argue anymore, as it all computes perfectly - can't deny what undeniable, THAT is the only thing that will always distinguish us from robots - they just can't lie to themselves. Good game, liked it, little too easy though. Or I played too much games with puzzles like this. More like art game than puzzle game.
when he asks you to guess a number i got it right!!!! i put 70414
I have a command line and i must scream.
The narrator reminds me a lot of AM from "I Have No Mouth." I love it.
it wasnt all that challenging of a puzzle game, the story was stupid (robots go nuts, wow how creative) and as for the "what emotion could you live without" way way WAY to obvious, since he says it like a bazillion times. all in all make the puzzles a bit harder and dont make the final answear to...simple.
and also....what was with the cutting off of the hands? since when do robots made in 1904 have feelings?
The games right, simple IS better...
...if you can do it right. I never thought anybody would be able to take such a simple concept such as text-based adventure and make it into something as breathtaking as this. Some people say that anybody could make a text-based game, but I bet if I show them this game, they'll keep their opinions to themselves for a LONG time. I have to congratulate you on all levels. The music is captivating, the way that you put a man vs. machine conflict in the game is tremendous, and the game is more difficult than any other text-based adventure, which I like. It does more than make you think of how to get to the next room, it makes you think how far can our reliance on machines will take us before something like THIS happens.
10/10 & 5/5

Hexagon Puzzle Game
An old style, pixel-art noir adventure, inspired by classical point-and-click games.
