You're a broken robot. Fix yourself up to please Mother.
Do as you're told.
You don't want to let her down, and you can't even jump yet. Let's do something about that.

It's a shame that Tom posted a list of Metroid like games so recently, as it seems I just about missed the boat with my mini attempt at that kind of genre, oh well...

You are amazing.

This was the best damn flash game I've played ever. Sure, there are some with better quality backgrounds and character designs, but that is definitely not all to a game. You didn't have the bast graphics ever, but it fit and there was absolutely no lag (and you don't know how happy it made me). I love how the character develops upgrade wise from something barely able to move and/or see to something completely indestructible. Sure, it's game play is like Metroid (the name KOLM was very witty too), but that's completely fine. I think we'll live.

As far as the story line goes, it's absolutely nothing like Metroid. The story line was actually heart wrenching to me (especially with my own mother problems). I loved it, but it was so sad. (The music fit so well with this, by the way) The end kind of freaked me out though. Especially when his mom says *SPOILER ALERT* You killed me! (x7 I think) and tells him that he deserves to die right after he figured out the truth about his dad. Of course I had to figure this out the second time around because I was too busy panicking trying to get out of there. (Boy, did the upgrades help.)

In a nutshell: Awesome game, awesome story line, awesome music, awesome everything.

Good job, keep on doing what you're doing. ^^

truely remarkable!

i loved this game from the beginning to the very end it was one of those games that you really do appreciate about because it grabs your attention and your emotions as well it makes you feel like that saying of putting someone else into their shoes and see what it is like.i read some of the comments before i played the game and i do agree that it is similar to metroid, but it really isn't.ok now onto the gameplay. the feel of the smoothness of the controls were really great there were no sticky or unresponsive controls which leads up to someone wanting to play the game if it works for him/ next point is the are a robot and you barely have any parts to keep you alive, but you upgrade into the best damn robot that you have ever seen(which is sorta scary to think).you also knew that you had a mom who was a bitch and didn't care about any aspect of you but yet the robot still appreciates her for some apparent reason. which i thought was stupid of him to do.

oh and one more thing. i like how the game view looks like a security camera. that was really cool.

It isn't often that I play a game like this.

It was so mysterious, so eerie. It gave me chills, especially the ending.

When one goes through it, it begins and it is rather benign; as one is learning the controls and as the game progresses, one learns more. It begins to build up; the mystery. The music was beautiful; hats off to Ockeroid, as was the game play itself.

This game was extremely well constructed. I felt like one with the characters; I felt bad for the little robot... I want to keep playing him and *SPOILER* save him from his own mother...

Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
