This is my animated interpretation to Gold Panda's "Quitters Raga." It was for a final project for my animation class at Parsons School of Design, and I completed most of it in around a week. I had to cut some of the song due to time constraints, but I hope you like it anyway.

Technical Details:

I did all the frame by frame animation in Flash. I created most of the backgrounds and environments in Photoshop. I compiled, composited, and added effects in After Effects. Check out the animatic (link at the end) if you want to see my thought process.

This is definitely my most ambitious short film to date. I really experimented with digital effects mixed with frame by frame animation. I probably worked a total of 60+ hours on it. I apologize for the large file size, I didn't want to lower the quality of the video too much, and I didn't want to sacrifice the sound quality either.

my ears!

animation and art was great but you use the effect too much.its waste to random effects i say.

RAWRoutLOWD responds:

I'm not sure what you mean by "its waste to random effects i say", but I wanted the effects to increase and escalate to the point where it was almost overwhelming. I wanted to show a progression of the degradation in the world, and when the world falls apart the character disappears.

Downloading to ipod.....

....Now. I think you did a great job at turning the music into imagery and the way it ebbed and flowed was near flawless, should definitely go into your job portfolio!

still not sure what that was

damn that was beautiful.
that was a trippy tune, did you mod the tune itself?
nevertheless, you did a great job animating and you integrated some of the photos so well it was hard to distinguish was was animated and what was photoshopped.
great job, pal.
