Submitted as a school project, this Flash used reoccurring original characters of mine to test how far I could push my Flash skills and also served as an effects animation test. I still have issues working with audio, and due to time constraints voice acting had to be abandoned. The first half moves slow, but it picks up at the halfway point.

i love anime and manga and when i read the "Author Comments" when i was waiting for it to load i was thinking how long this would be, then it loaded and i watched it and to be frank the animation was pretty good the dialog was a bit cliche but what got 5 stars from me was at the ending when you put that little guy there saying he should be doing his homework that made me smile which isn't easy to do so here is your review of a decent short anime style cartoon.

Random Stereotypical Anime Hero vs. Evil Battle FTW!

Finally someone who gets it :)

I thought it was great for second submission

There are somethings that you could have touched up on in the artwork (like an awkward line here and there) and some of the positions could have been fixed, the effects were great, I really think if you put more effort in to the storyline and had a longer animation it would be on the best of all time list. The fighting scene was probably one of the best I've seen on newgrounds (mostly because of your effort in to effects). I agree with other reviews that it was kinda cheesy, oh and one example of touch up would be the consecutive line shadings on his face, if you're going for a "manga/anime" feel in shading like that, it's normally thinner and closer to each other while also following a pattern scheme, sometimes they put in the pattern scheme even if the shading covers a 3 dimensional drawing. I really thought this was great if this was to test your animation skill, keep up the good work =D

Linkakami responds:

I might revisit it some day since it's part of an ongoing thing, but it was for a class and I had a deadline, and was fighting against the obnoxious way the brush tool doesn't resize proportional to the zoom level.

Esque

very "S-Cry-Ed"-esque. the only thing that really bothered me (aside from sound effects, which are easy to overlook) was the lack of speaking, it made the film seem a bit cheesy. If you even need an extra voice, im always free :D but yea, overall cool

Linkakami responds:

Remember seeing that anime's name, but I never followed up on it.

Thing was, the assignment had a due date I had to work with, and while I had that script written, /and/ translated into Japanese, I didn't have the time to get voice actors back then. I had to just record myself with my crappy headset mic so I had something to lipsync to :(

good

very original great for 2nd
