One Chance is a game about choices and dealing with them.

Scientist John Pilgrim and his team have accidently created a pathogen that is killing all living cells on Earth.

In the last 6 remaining in-game days on Earth, the player must make choices about how to spend his last moments. Will he spend time with his family, work on a cure or go nuts?

Six days to find meaning.

This was touching... Yet highly unsettling at some parts, there was one part when I went to go to work after a major happening, and his daughter was there for a split second before vanishing... I don't know if it was a glitch, but from things that had happened before, I felt so saddened by the sight of her. Is it real that a game can invoke such emotions within someone? I believe so, and this game is one of the few that have done so. It just goes to show you that fancy upgrades, weapons, and a high score chart aren't needed to make a game of sheer genius, originality, and deeper meaning. Granted I didn't know what you meant when you referred to the lack of re playability, and I may have played through one second time through the ways posted earlier, and I thoroughly regret doing so. True, playing once again showed me an alternate path and let me know what I was up against, and true it showed me another spectrum of emotion to be felt, but it deviated from your original goal. My only two pieces of advice to give to you, is one; explain what you mean by the lack of re playability, I can't help but think of how many of my friends would go through a game once to see how the mechanics worked, if people knew that the lack of re playability meant you literally couldn't replay the game, how many more people would pour more thought into the actions they took? That's the only reason I'm giving this game a 9 instead of a perfect 10. Still, you knew what you were doing when you made this game, and I'm glad I took ten minutes out of my day to soak in the meaning behind this, whatever meanings you intended for us, the player to receive. Upon the change of song during another major event (I'm determined not to spoil anything for new players.) I felt as if I were about to cry. I'm not going to put up a cover and act all manly, this game is sheer poetry. I assure you, this is one that will make me think for days to come, and when it gets right down to it... What WOULD you do if you were in John Pilgrim's shoes? Thinking to it now... I couldn't even begin to think what I would do... Good job, keep up the work, and keep giving games a higher meaning then repetitive button-smashing.
