Helix Defense 2 pits you as the rookie commander of the human alliance fleet, tasked with defending orbital platforms against the assaults of a mysterious new enemy. Each platform is equipped with the ability to build defensive towers and you must decide where and when to build towers to successfully defend mankind from these weird aliens.

Each level of Helix Defense 2 offers a unique challenge to the player. Some levels the enemies will always travel down a certain path, but in others you have the chance to manipulate the enemies how you like. Sometimes you can even force the enemies into environmental dangers, such as molten lava.

The enemies aren't going to make it easy for you, however. Armed with shields and capital ships, they won't stop until either humanity or their own kind are destroyed.

Featuring 18 levels, each with its own unique achievement, Helix Defense 2 should give you plenty of content to fuel you thirst for defending with towers.

Pretty good game

For once the levels are actually different in design instead of every other defense game adding some gimmick. I like it, and the background story really helps to carry this along.

Only thing is that, while it may just be me, level 16 seems unwinnable. I've tried so many different combinations of towers, but I still keep getting slaughtered.

I'll agree with the bad placement of the pause button, though. If you can't move the gamersafe logo, then move the pause and fast forward buttons up a bit. Easy solution.

ARGH!!!

the game itself is great, but that stupid gamersafe thing pops over the pause button and screws me up... PLEASE move it somewhere else!

Very nicely done.

It's not very often that a tower defense game manages to be genuinely innovative and different, but this one stands out from the crowd.

Really liked the different level designs and the different achievements for each level.. it created an optional "hard mode" for the game without the need for all levels to be played at that difficulty.

Only minor niggles were the gamersafe popup that keeps coming up when i move to toggle fast forward and the lack of a health bar for the generator. Other than that, it's great. :)

One thing

It would have been better if you could see the range of the towers before actually placing it on the spot. It's easier to make strategies that way and less annoying. But pretty good.
