Endeavor is a game about a dwarf trying to uncover an ancient secret. Or maybe it's about exploring, climbing, and swimming. Or perhaps it's about collecting powerups and treasure. Or possibly it's just about killing things.

With multiple endings, quests, interactive npcs and ambient critters, it's my most involving game yet! It features many original musical tracks, several upgrades, and an engaging climbing and endurance scheme.

You can find a full map of the game at
(Remove the two spaces in the link to get it to work... I'm not sure why it's doing that!)

Feel free to pm me with any comments or questions you have!

Note: Once you've reached an ending, you won't be able to get a different ending without restarting the game. Don't worry, getting the other endings is much faster when you know where everything is!

Update: Some people are getting lag whenever they touch a flower- this is due to an auto-save feature that I've decided to remove (note that the game still autosaves whenever you collect a powerup or switch screens, just not on touching flowers anymore). I've submitted the latest version which should get approved soon, so bear with me! Thanks for playing!

Update 12/2: There seems to be a bug with running out of endurance underwater and getting trapped in air bubbles. I'm working on fixing it! If this happens, press Q to return to the main menu, and then reload your save file.

Update 12/3: Patched to fix the underwater bug, pressing escape now pauses AND unpauses. Added tip menu screen to press p to see collections. Also added an additional creature on the island above the light beam. Hopefully the update goes live soon!

Update 12/11: Added a link to a full map of the game, see above!

Your work is amazing. The dynamic music allotted to each area made the climate of the game beautiful and surreal. The graphics, though simple, worked with splendor. The story was especially engaging. I had to return and play the game all different ways, just because it is amazing.

On a side note though, I've encountered the same glitch every time. Although I collect the mushroom, when I contact the creature that says "I hunger for mushroom!" it disappears from my inventory without the gain I imagine is supposed to occur. Please address that issue and the game will truly be perfect.

I am a monster, and would like to apologize.

Slowly, but surely, I went through this game. Not thinking much of it. There was some kind of divine power, coaxing me to collect crystals for it. Which brang me to the mountains. I encountered a young creature who pointed out a vine to me and said "What's that in the sky up there? How did you get there? Is it the end of the world?" But sure enough, I went there. I collected the powers of lightning. Another creature said to me, "I can feel your bloodlust, you must harvest souls." And so I took his. I encountered another creature, and took his. I went throught the regions, harvesting. Not thinking much of it.
I then encountered another creature, "You're from the other side? You don't LOOK like a demon." It was then I realised - perhaps I was.

I encountered the other creature, again. "What's that up there? Is it the end of the world?" It was then I realised - Yes, yes it is. I was on a rampage, killing things. I was the end of the world. ME. It was too late to stop, I had already slain several creatures - It was too late for me now. I climbed back to my sanctuary, killing my former colony. It's too late to try and repent now. I found a sword - And I heard a voice, "Hero..." I was no hero. "There is a great evil deity - MOLAR. Your ancestors have fought him for many years and weakened him. But they could not kill him, so they sent him to the underworld." This was the voice telling me to collect the gems. "Quick hero - take this sword and defeat him." I was not a hero, but merely a puppet. I realised my actions and embarked back down below, all the while, MOLAR was trying to stop me. "What lies have they told you?"

"They are the evil ones, they are decieving you. I am the true force, they are against me." Being the monster I had now became, I jumped, and sliced, like a minion rebelling. Like a demon, turning aorund. I thought maybe I could make up for it. "You have beaten me, fallen one. But at what cost? Look at the blood on your hands. I am not the evil under the world - You are." It was true. I had taken 23 souls of the innocent. I ran through the regoins, soiling the rsesting grounds of ancient ones. I was truly, a fallen one. And nothing could stop me.

Sorry for the long intro, but it's rare for a game to make me feel this way, for me to get so captivated by the story. The controls were simple, if not flawed. The pixelly effect was, impressive, you could say, I didn't think pixels could do such wonders. There was a time when I was underwater, and I started drowning or whatever, and instead of releasing bubbles it was a flurry of pixels, which worked quite well. The story again, was fantastic, the way the player was drawn into it, based around them and such. Just amazing man.
