Review.

Pros:
It's honestly pretty fun, even though I was playing it by myself. Honestly, I think it would be really boring if I played with somebody else. What really made it fun was trying to focus on both paddles and try not to let it go past either one of them.

Cons/Recommendations:
The gameplay was fun, don't get me wrong, but otherwise it was a pretty boring game. It's just a plain white background, there's no upbeat music that gets me more in the mood to play this sort of thing and the background was just plain boring. Honestly the classic black-and-white pong background would have been better than what you used on here.

What's the deal with the actual ball, honestly? It looks bad in my opinion, it looks like a pinball. In my opinion, simplicity is better here. If you would have made the "ball" a black square, it would have been much better than the low quality image you used.

In my opinion, somebody here has a disadvantage. Although I guess it depends on your personal preference, you should either make it so you can pick your controls, or so that one player is WASD and the other is the arrow keys.

way too basic

This game need more variety to spice it up. The fact that is was 2 player was ok but I think it could use more options like music, pause, ball speed, background, etc.

Pong is a classic...

The thing about classics is, you can find versions of them everywhere. Remaking one is an excellent way to test your Flash skills, but if you want it to stand the test of time for more than, say, an hour, you need to give us a reason to want to play YOUR version over someone else's.

I like that two people can play this, but that is all it really has going for it at the moment. Instead of posting before you added sound, you should have held off until you did, at the very least. You might also want to do something with the background. Bland white is not very interesting.

Even if you improved all of those things, it would still just be pong, and I could give it a 4, maybe a 5 at most. If you want to remake a classic and have it be outstanding, you have to do something that no-one else has done. I don't know what that is; you have to figure it out yourself.

Try again after having given it some thought.

Simple....

..bt the concept of pong two players is fun to this day. Sound you stated was coming so that'll be nice, bt also it might be more fair if the player can release the ball after scoring instead of it being unleashed sporadicly. Also I'm not sure if it was a bug but I hit the ball at an angle where it just went vertically and the game could not continue. Tweak it some, and this might be a spot for newgrounders can come challenge there friends in pong.
