I created Castle Crusade as an entry for Kongregate's mobile contest, as such Mobile versions will be available in day or two, and you can find out more about the mobile version from the mobile link within the game.
Development time was around 5-6 weeks. Since this is the first fully developed game I've made most of the time spent was working with actionscript. All of the artwork was either rendered in max or made with photoshop.

Almost there. Keep trying
Some of the upgrades don't really work ( or at least don't seem to ) Like when i pay 500 for an extra worker. I tend to want to actually see one or at least have another one pop out when my first one is killed. Fix the bugs and I'd actually pay for this.
The game is good
IT has some major fixes which would make it better
add a option to hire more than 1 worker for both more than 1 and when all die
add more unit options such as wizards or horse rider even dragons
more levels are needed
Overall though the game is still pretty good

The game is great, but it has a few downs...
1- the enemy doesn't have a lumberjack, it gets free upgrades.
2- You can't heal your lumberjack, or create a new one when it dies.
3-You can't control the lumberjack movements, it's to easy to kill.
4-You can't alter the units movements or set their target (attack a tower and not the castle).
Meh, cute but limited.
Boring.
YOur goal is to steamroll the opponent. Not really interesting. Strategies arent very diverse or effective.
It works well for what it does. Its just not much fun.
Too simple and a tad slow
Starting off the game, I immediately saw how my troops were being overpowered. So I decided to increase the troop health and reproduction rate. To my surprise this did little to nothing until I level each to the third level.
It may have just been my luck, but having only two boosts for troops and no sign of obtaining abother type of troop makes this game dry and the matches sort of drag on as you sit there hoping you can somehow double team an opponent before they overpower the first one.
