Addictive for a short while but ultimately tedious

It's hard to make a case against this game when so many people love it, but to be honest I find it tedious. It's just trial and error at the basest level, and while I can't deny that there's some addictive quality to slowly revealing everything, you can't hide that the game is little more than just going through all the combinations until you've tried them all. Admittedly the presentation is nice, but there's no skill involved, no alternatives to slowly trying out every combination, often there's no logical reason why certain things create something new and why others create nothing.

Obviously you've tapped into something powerful because people do go crazy for this, perhaps the next step is integrating the addicting slow drip of reward into an actual game.
