UPDATE: Thanks Tom & company for the front page. My servers crashed twice as my host scrambled to meet the needs of this application. But, that is hopefully resolved.

UPDATE: WooOo Trophy! :D Thanks for the votes!

UPDATE: There are two music load bars near the bottom of the application. The one on the left is the current song, the one on the right is the next song up. This isn't indicated anywhere in the application, but now you know & knowing is half the battle.

First, thanks to Newgrounds & the audio portal composers for being such awesome guys. I like the cut of your jibs.

This is phase 2 of the Audio Bridge Project. Phase 1 was ugly and never saw the light of day. Phase 2 is minimalistic and mostly not ugly. But, the sound is the point.

This is a radio which updates its library to contain songs, currently, just from the Newgrounds audio portal. The database is not strictly up to date at every given moment, but it is updated regularly. So, if you vote on songs, those scores will eventually be stored in my database.

You can filter music by score, genre, & date submitted.

What you can't do, yet, is favorite music, go back and listen to a track you already listened to, or create playlists. I only mention that because plans for phase 3 include those mentioned features. Fret not, your ear drumbs shall be caressed by the most caring of musical fingers, in the future!

If you're into code and stuff like that, you'd be interested to know the entire project was created using FlashDevelop and the Flex SDK. Nothing here was actually made in Flash unless it was a Newgrounds resource.

Thanks for making this flash, and this almost bests the other ones out there, and if there wasnt a teensy bug i found, i wouldve given this 10 on 10.
The bug:
I selected a song from 2003 to 2010, and in the Techno, Trance and Video Game category, and from 3.09 to 5.
Problem is, there was a song called Hardstyle Kick test #3 by Harha. (somethin like that) the problem was, that the song wasnt playing. I attributed it to my internet connection, and I found out, minutes later, after clicking on the link, i found it didnt even EXIST. so, the author might have deleted it, so is there a "report" button that can be used to report missing or deleted files, or can an AI be built to recognize that and switch to a different song, if that's not too much to ask for? It might be tough, but heck, I'll more than support it (with my big mouth :D) if that's fixed.

Really nice

Only thing is there's no favorites and previous song function. Otherwise really good :)

Great job! Only thing that could make it better would be a back/repeat button. But, still it's incredible :)

Very nice

This submission is definitely in my top 3 favorite NG radio submissions.

The design was very nice and the visualizer was a nice addition. I like designs that switch up rather than use the traditional NG assets. I liked it.

I loved how you let us filter by score. I thought that was a fantastic addition that would actually let me enjoy what I'm listening to, rather than letting me get screamers placed in the wrong category.

Speaking of categories, I loved the genre / date filtering that you added. I feel like any good radio should have the genre feature. It's much more attractive for the listeners and it really doesn't push me away because of the random selections people may get that they don't have a taste for.

A big dislike was how long we had to wait before each song played. It was a huge buzzkill since most other radios play instantly. Another dislike is that there were no "playlist" feature. Archawn's NG radio had one and it really attracted me to that one. I like being able to store songs for later in case I don't go to the audio portal pages and favorite them myself.

Other than those couple of flaws I enjoyed this and will give you a 9/10 rating and 5/5 vote. Nice job.

It is supposed to dual buffer so that there is another song waiting, but I'll look into how to reliably stream songs. I'm sure this can be done. [UPDATE: I found a way to make this work easily, so this is now a new feature! Thanks for the comment]

I'm totally planning on doing a favorites, play list, sharing of play lists. Probably out in January or December.

Glad in you liked it.

Oh the greatness, 5

What a great idea this is, connects people to the massive NG audio base and does it well. The filtering is awesome and I like the fact that you link to the userpage and song page. The visualizer was a nice touch but I would like to see more from it.

I may actually have to drop the vizualizer. It sucks up ram, and as nice as it is to have something pretty I had to mirror the entire audio collection and serve the mp3s from my own host, which means crawling and downloading every week. This caused teh entire thing to crash. So as much as I would like to serve the mp3s and provide the visualizers I can't do it at the rate the player is making money...

We'll see...
