This is my entry for Halloween 2010, so please give it a good recommendation as such. It's an adaptation of the Celtic legend of the jack o'lantern, with a bit of a twist at the end.

It's my third Flash movie, and although it's not terribly long, it was a much more involved process. Most of the work was done during the last week, with a lot of help from deadline pressure. there's a lot of stuff I would have liked to do differently, but there's also a lot that I like about it. I hope you enjoy it, because overall it was a fun experience.

--Figured out a few tricks for shot transitions
--Figured out how to use movie clips
--The use of stills works well in a lot of places

--Narration quality isn't quite what I'd prefer
--The use of stills doesn't work everywhere
--Music isn't perfect

EDIT: fixed the ad, and the automatic restarting problem (hopefully).

Does Jack turn you into a pumpkin or something? He seems good company so if he wanted some company I wouldnt run I would casually walk over and ask him how his life is

Now if it could become a tradition that we carve turnips, that would be interesting.

Glarryg responds:

It used to be that way (although some sources said it was probably a rutabaga and not a turnip). Pumpkins didn't come into the picture until the Celts came to America. ;)

Well done!

Turnips are so hard to carve though!

Really well done!

I was just thinking about this legend, but couldn't remember all the details. So nice to see it here on Newgrounds!
