A new turn-based arena RPG inspired to an unpublished novel-book and board-RPG.
Full custom gladiator characters. Post-apocalyptic armors and weapons. Spy your enemies and hire gladiator allies. Supernatural abilities: 3 different Paths, 18 Spheres, 90 special Powers! Voiceovers/spoken videos and dialogues.

Should you have already played Apokalyx on other websites before today..
The version 1.0.4 is the newest and it has solved:
- preloader white screen
- mutant video black screen
- attacking gladiators stuck in front of the target opponent
- quick armor wearing in Trader shop
- tavern bug after enemy card revealed
- character generation stats bugs (ref: intelligence and mutants 15to14)
- other minor bugs
The bug of special power freeze is very hard to solve. We optimized few related lines of code.
With Flash player version 10.1 installed the bug is fixed on many betatesters computers, but unfortunately not on all of them... sorry for that :(

All you need is the mouse. Point and click
Tutorial and instructions are in the game.

Other controls:
- "M" to mute audio
- Click the mouse to skip dialogues (in Tutorial press "T" to skip all tutorial)
- "ESC" to retreat from a battle (useful when you find a rare stall situation)

Unprepared for gunnar

Ok so the game was fairly easy until the fight against gunnar came along randomly which my character was completely unprepared for. I wasnt really able to beat him because he dealt too much damage and then just healed himself. Would be nice if I could train the character outside of the arena.

Good premise, but some flaws

This game had a pretty good premise, but there were a few little things that dragged it down. I really hated the second boss, because he continuously stacked that instant stun move on me and I could only break out when he let me. Allies were more or less useless. Most of the time they wouldn't even take an action, just stand around while enemies destroyed me.

The game was getting to rather cheap levels of frustration at that point until I got the final two Animal Powers.

I don't know about the other classes, but the last two animal skills make you a god. No fight, regardless of the number of enemies, lasted very long once I got them. Marbleskin stopped me from taking damage, and stacking Beastman and Lion-Force meant that I never missed, no matter how fast the enemies were, and struck for over 100 damage and one shattered piece of equipment every attack. The last fight was actually ridiculously easy doing this, because I couldn't be touched.

A few things that could be done. Allow for more freedom in who and what you fight, instead of dragging us along to each set one. Allowing us to fight the boss when we want, or go on fighting other fights, would be better. I'd also try to give more customization of what your character looks like at creation, instead of giving everyone the same bodytype with different tints.

Good game, needs tweaking

All in all, a pretty enjoyable waste of a couple of hours. Couple of tweaks which would help:
- AI allies were fairly useless, need to ban buffs for them, so they actually attack.
- The equipment seemed to stay pretty low level throughout the game. More powerful equipment would have been good.
- The counterattack ability seems to be broken, I parried regularly but never counterattacked. Note, this is not the case for Waiser.

On the plus side, the one-liners were quite funny, although got repetitive. The level system was good, as you never got to the highest levels in everything, and you had to make some interesting decisions. On the down side, the skill grouping seemed a bit strange, I would have thought mental and mind would be together. Maybe 3 groups instead of 2?

Good effort, hope to see a sequel or more like it.

Persistance 2 is rediculously overpowered.

Really, it makes it nearly impossible to get a good hit whilst making it nearly impossible for the enemy to not get a devastating hit! And it lasts for three turns! And you can't get rid of it with a spell! And it effects your entire team! It's so cheap!

Amazing but has a few flaws

Hey let me start the game is incredible and well made but there many things that can be done to make it better, so let me list some of them so you can take them in consideration for the future:

- Increasing Stats: There really should be a stat reset button or skill reset button of some sort, I was forced to restart the game from the begining because there was no way of fixing my newb mistakes.

-Grinding: you could consider letting players train in some way before battles.

-Freedom: Esseantial something I kinda disliked but its not bad its the fact that each battle would get you 1 level, there wasnt any real grinding just pretty much keep going until the end.

-Balancing: Something I noticed is that if you choose an agility class you are pretty much untouchable, also most classes have some sort of healing technique so the low HP barely matters, just putting some points in the right powers would make you invincible pretty early in the game.

-Power Balancing: There are 2 things you should consider, one of them being level 5 skills being extremely powerful, this is normaly a good thing but in this case it isnt since it just makes the game too easy, considering I already had skills that made me untouchable.

For Example: The Wildcat animal powers, level 4 lion force multiplied STR times Elemntal this pretty much made you a murdering machine and if you had good precition well the enemy is add, now lets add the level 5 skill beast, which doubles all your agility stats and 5 points to your vigor stats, making you absolutly untouchable to any type of attack and made it impossible for you to miss an attack even you launched 4 of them in one go, It ended most battles in one single turn.

The second thing you could add is a cool down method of some sort, i could simply spam healing powers, or debuffing powers to put myself in shape and recover my damage there should be a method to limit this.

The ARTSTYLE: the Intro art and introduction art is amazing unique original and well made it REALLY makes you want to play the game, however the character model in games feel over-generic, uninspiring and have that old muscle man style we ve seen too many times before, perhaps a new more original model would make the game much more enjoyable to the eye and overall make for a better experience.

The story: Is not bad but lacks alot, the main character felt really likeable even thoug we really never get to know him, however the character model really gets in the way of fully feeling him since he feels lifeless, however his personality is great and perhaps with a little more polishing and characterization we may have one the most memorable and likeable game characters (I m serious).

Well that about sums up the little flaws of the game I hope you take em in account and congratulation on making a great game.
