Lol Wut?

It's a long, long, LONG cartoon about African bushmen... having LONG, rambling conversations about nothing in particular. Given that this is the internet, I was expecting this to be full of racist stereotypes. But... not really. Sure, there's stuff about how Africa has a lot of problems with disease and infrastructure, and there's some tongue-in-cheek jokes on tribal culture, but for the most part, it's actually pretty tame.

Sometimes pretty boring.

It's just a cartoon full of people talking like... regular people. Which, I think, is the point, really. And it's charming. I don't know why, but I've watched it three times already. And the ending is hilarious. Make Africa Dudes 2! DO IT. :D

Is this an hommage to "nouvelle vague" cinema?

The last time I had this feeling, it was when I was whatching Le charme discret de la bourgeoisie ( the stealthy lovelyness of the bourgeoisie ). All along, you ask yourself : What am I watching? And when the end arrived, don't expect for an answer.
