UPDATE: Daily Feature AND front page!!! Wow. This is my first one. Something I've been working at for a long time. Thanks everyone for the great feedback and votes!

Also, a few of the rather constructive critical reviews have pointed out that the "running" shot looked a bit off. So I have touched it up and made it a bit smoother. Thanks for the reviews everyone. Keep em' comin'. I love feedback.

Well, where to begin...

I came up with the idea for this project shortly after seeing "The Dark Knight". I thought it would be cool to show how Batman handles the fact that he's become a fugitive. This was supposed to be a three month project but took about six. I wanted to combine elements of "The Dark Knight" and "Batman: The Animated Series". I also bought a draw pad (finally) so I could really get the illustrations down. It was illustrating the city that was the hard part. I actually built a clay model of the city so I could get all the perspectives right. No easy task.

Just so everyone knows, there's a "Return to Menu" button in the bottom left corner of the screen while to movie is playing. Just in case you can't see it.

I'd also like to thank all of my voice actors for helping me with this project. I think they really added alot to it.

And one more thing. I do not own the rights to any of the music used in this movie, nor do I claim to. It's all primarily from Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

Anyway, ENJOY!!!

My eyes are transfixed.

I'm simply blown away. If I could, I want to take you to court and sentence you to 10 years to work on more.

But I can't. I can only sit here in awe and Google for a new Batman movie, (Or watch The Dark Knight again). I applaud you in an exponential perpetual motion. You have made an honourable tribute to the Batman name. I thank you for this.

If this was the beginning of the next Batman film

I'd be absolutely impressed. It works perfectly, the action, the style... even the script.

But it's not. It's a flash. I expected to see some shoddy animation, bad voice acting (I admit, it wasn't perfect) and terrible dialogue.

Instead, what I saw was a snippet of a the the essence of the Dark Knight, brilliantly done and absolutely captivating. Blown away doesn't even begin to describe it.

I'd give you 10/5, 20/10, but unfortunately that isn't allowed.

So if nothing else, absolute congratulations on this beautifully done flash, and I'd be absolutely amused if the next batman movie begins in a similar way.

There's no way to express how good this flash is, so I'll stop here.

The overall story was amazing. The poetic and artistic style you had really looks professional. I'm not saying that the animation was 10/10, I'm saying that the overall story was movie worthy. You are definitely going somewhere with animation/story writing. Keep up the good work, and don't stop trying. :)

Good Representation

Every time (which is not too often) when a Batman animation gets posted on NG I get a little nervous. I am a huge critiqe when it comes to the Bat, have been since i was a kid, so I had to give your project the time of day despite initial fears.

Well, you killed those fears pretty well. You can def tell you pulled from the animated series, (if Bullock was not a dead give away) but even the rooftop fight, and everything, really well done, well put together.

The animation and voice acting was pretty good. Your style of Batman was sweet to, it was exciting to see him pop in every seen just to see how him.

Couple negatives. The voice acting got a little rough, but I understand this is a big project and size probably had to be reduced a fair bit.

Secondly, the story was a little funny. Batman is not naive enough to produce a lot of his weapons locally, despite what he does at Wayne Enterprises. It would have made a lot more sense for me, if he was investigating something in the warehouse, and a criminal gave a tip to the police, trying to set him up.

But thats where the negative ends. All in all, very impressed, with your work. You can tell you defiantly put a lot into it. Not sure if you plan to do a follow up, but it would be nice to see. Nice work.
