Hello and welcome to my fruity snake game.

This game is not grid based as the original console version made in the last century.
The rules are easy - eat all fruits and grow by 3 segments for each eaten object.
Don't let the snake touch the brick stones or the game borders, because this will end the level.

Btw. the snake does not like to bite itself. That hurts and ends the level also.

Have fun and don't hesitate to leave some critiques

Not bad

I thought it was ok, i remember playing snake when i was a kid not bad but not great, you could maybe spruce up the art style a lil, but the basic gameplay was sufficient, good job

Pretty good, but could use improvement

It is a nice addition to the very overused snake idea, but the rotational control makes it a lot more fun.
I think that starting so slow makes it kind of boring. I got tired of playing a little after Level 3 or 4. I still think it was a good game, but if you plan on making a sequel, you should focus a little more on addictive gameplay; powerups, faster speed, unique levels.
This game honestly is still just a little bit higher than most snake games in my mind, so hopefully you can turn this into something great :)
Nice job!

Hi eliyahu,

thank you for your input and your review.
I like the idea of powerups and it seems I have more to do than just to polish the artwork.
About the speed in the first levels - I thought it would help to understand the controls and would be a good training to get around obstacles.
But on the other hand, it bores if you already know how to play such keyboard controlled games.

Maybe I should add different initial speeds depending on the players choice (beginner,...)

Nice idea

Thank you for your review.

This means the gameplay is good, but I should replace the graphics and remove some ads.
About the highscore. If you press space after game over, it should show you the mochi leaderboard with highscore.

I should add more hints about what can be done at the end of a game.

concept

love the non-grid aspect of gameplay that you have here. I did not enjoy playing in silence, though. so would recommend audio feedback (crunching sound when eating food(?), sound effects when biting your tail or running in to walls, level complete sounds, etc.), and background music.

decent job overall

Hi frayjay,
thank you for your review.

I will add some audio feedback as you suggested. To find a great background music for this game should be harder than to find the sound effects, but I will look into this, too.
