Description:
Win the world cup in this action packed old school arcade style soccer game! Developed this some years ago but never submitted it anywhere. Seven years later, there are still no arcade soccer games in Flash, so I thought I had to upload it.
Any ideas for improvements are accepted gladly!
EDIT: The game had some problems before because I'd site-locked it, thanks to Joelasticot (http://joelasticot.newgr ounds.com/) for helping me make the game playable on Newgrounds! And thanks to LaRonde20 and Krash93 for their constructive feedback. Enjoy!
maybe have a different player switching system
for example 'wasd' could change people and the arrows keys move u around
also if the field was bigger or had less people it would be easier to kick the ball around without being swamped by people

Yeah I've received a LOT of feedback now already, thanks everyone in here for leaving comments! Making the field bigger and introducing a button for selecting the closest player instead of it being automatic are some of the plans. Now I just have to find the time to implement it... :D

the control scheme is idiotic though. how the hell am i supposed to know what to do if i get switched between different players on the team randomly? that just utterly killed the gameplay for me
It's not random, the player closest to the ball gets focus. Maybe I could rethink the player switching system though, my initial idea was to keep the game controls as simple as possible but it seems that it was confusing...
