Sticky Blocks is an original puzzle game idea I came up with. (Well, sort of original, it is based on Sokoban.) Special thanks to blockgame.co for sponsoring it - my first sponsored game!

Can you make it through all 50+ levels?

Slide your purple sticky block through increasingly fiendish levels in this strategy puzzle game. Other blocks stick to yours whether you want them to or not, so you need to plan your moves carefully or end up in the middle of a large, unmovable clump of blocks! Deliver blocks to identically-colored locks to clear up space and pass through to the next level.

50 regular levels + 8 bonus levels + secret levels! The levels start out very easy and get progressively harder. Some of the later ones may look simple... yet they're incredibly devious.

Bonus levels are unlocked by obtaining "star" ratings on the regular levels. Get a star rating by having the indicated blocks stuck to your purple block when you finish the level. You'll figure it out.

This game is beauty incarnate. And the music. Wow. Unforgettable perfection. Possibly the best puzzle game ever. Shameful that it gets so neglected, put up in October 2010 and no reviews since 2010 until me. The only thing I don't like is that often times it puts important things off the screen where I can't see them and the only way to get the screen to pan in that direction is to MOVE in that direction and the results of that may be regrettable.

Legend has it you unlock a secret of some sort if you complete level 27 holding onto enough green moving right-turn blocks AND get the star, but I just did it with 2 green ones and that wasn't enough.

yay blocks!

I enjoyed this game very much! It was a good balance between easier and more difficult levels. The problem-solving required was a lot of fun, and the concept was fresh and intriguing. I had to use a walkthrough for almost every step of level 49 (and maybe one more, I forget) and to get a star on "planting roses," but only glanced at the video for hints otherwise.

I only gave a 9 instead of a ten because sometimes slight lag would make my piece shoot off too far in the direction I was pressing and get stuck to something, making me need to restart the level. Since I was already constantly restarting anyway from trial-and-error, the extra restarts got annoying.

The music wasn't bad, but you included a "turn off music" option so I listened to my own. I don't think that detracted from the game in any way.

definitely a thinker

I passed most of them first try, but a couple of them stumped me and required some thought! I do like the music a lot!

i only took away points for the simplicity of it. But it IS addictive and a good thinking game.

secret things

Well, I know the one secret medal for "a 5 year old made this level" isn't awarded for having EVERY block in the level stuck to you at the end (except the 2 that have to be annihilated of course), and I can't think of what other event might occur to get the award. I was unable to win "countdown timer" with every block, including all the green movable ones except the one that is annihilated to win the level, stuck to me, so there's a chance that's the trigger there but I could just not manage it.

The choice of music is epic. Some people were actually complaining about the music. What the hell is up with that? And someone's review I read was actually complaining about the graphics. WTF? They're blocks, ok? How would graphics be improved? Maybe they should look like computer animated 3-D mountains levitating over the crashing sea off the coast of neverneverland, with Captain Hook and Peter Pan fighting with chainsaws in the background while the various incarnations of the starship enterprise zoom buy from time to time and fire phasers at random background objects? One of the best games ever is adventure, you know, that thing with the 3 dragons and the sword that looked like an arrow, and the main character was just a square, and that was pretty simple graphics, but it didn't matter because the graphics weren't the point. Same here.

I withhold a 10 rating just because there is some room for greater potential awesomeness. Like user submitted levels like with time fcuk.

You should get the secret medal on "A 5 Year Old Made This Level" if you finish with every block (or at least 35) stuck to you.

On "Countdown Timer," you want to do the opposite. i.e. just wait and don't stick to anything.

I'm the developer and I actually don't care for the music. I don't hate it, but it was one of those things where I heard it and thought it would be awesome for my game, so I licensed it. But I didn't realize how it would grate on someone hearing it play over and over and over again.

Great idea about the graphics. ;) Perhaps Sticky Blocks 2 (with a level editor, naturally) will include Captain Hook, Peter Pan, chainsaws, and if I win the lottery I'll even license the use of the Starship Enterprise, too.
