The sensors on level 3 remove the lasers blocking the doorway
2 handed weapons (shotgun and AK) only fire forward
Remove assigned shots by clicking on an already-placed node
Broken glass shards can interfere with your shots, so wait a while after shooting out glass to take aim again

Author Commentary:

BoMToons: This was intended for Madness Day 2010, but was slightly delayed. I had this gameplay idea while watching some Madness cartoons. It's gone through a lot of revisions based on lots of player feedback (thanks Coaly and Jacksmack!). I hope you give it a chance! There are tons of other gameplay features we wish we had time to add like smarter AI, more stealth rewards, smarter reloading constraints, more balanced guns, the ability to watch all your replays in a row, etc...maybe for a sequel? As always, it's a pleasure to work with Luis, his take on my ugly level mock-ups brought a richness and fun to the story that I never would have included. P.S. This was coded "Somewhere in Nevada" where I live!

Luis: This is a strategy/puzzle game, kinda like chess. Enjoy!

One thing i would like to see.

Especially on the boss fights it is difficult to judge where the bosses will be exactly, its more of a trial and error until you find the right path.

If the clock ran a little slower it would be easier to read their positions in the replays so you could plan your moves better.

I loved it until... wouldn't allow me to change my weapons. I got to the boss and didn't like the choice of weapons I had so I continued from the first stage to build up AP. It was working fine until about level 5 or so when it wouldn't allow me to change my weapons. It was the stage wher you fall through and killing the programmers is optional. I would go to the arsenal and change them and it wouldn't chage them when I started the stage again.

So, I decided maybe it was because the stage was already completed or something and I went to continue again and back to the stage prior to it. I figured, if it's just an error with that stage then I'll select them the stage before and then beat it and have them in that stage. Well, it only gave me the option of using the starting revolver and none of the weapons I had unlocked were available. It asked me to purchase them all over again. At that point I quit. It had pissed me off and I wanted nothing more to do with it.

Aside from the glitch, I thought the game was wonderfull. It was a lot of fun and different. I've never played a game quite like this one. Similar, but not quite the same. Very interesting and if it weren't for the glitch I would probably be playing it for quite some time to come. Would have been a 10 but losing my progress drops it 2. Would probably be more than that normally if it weren't so damn fun.

Maybe you can help me track down what's causing that bug, can you duplicate it? I've tried restarting the game from different points and never lost my arsenal, it's really stumping me.

Good, but..

Solid game, and lots of fun, but a few things I noticed. Some sort of way to preview what movements the enemies would make would be extremely helpful. Also, the trail can be very aggravating to use if you are crossing the same area repeatedly, such as against a boss. Also, after completing the game, even though I cleared the game, I didnt get any of the badges.

A fun, if short game.
