Wow this game is addictive!! It's hard to come up with a decent strategy. Very nicely done. The thunder sound effect was weird though.

It's "Geometry Wars" meets "Amorphous+".

With some RPG elements added. The music was good, but with only one track it got kind of stale by the time I achieved "Defender of Pixela-RT". Also, a possible improvement an (unlockable) option like Amorphous+'s Hardcore Mode, where you encounter every type of enemy right from the start.

For those having trouble getting the high chain trophies, (make sure you have all bronze and silver trophies so you can upgrade these right away,) focus on fire rate, but put at least one point into spread. Move as little as possible, except to pick up a shield. By minimizing pixel pickup, you'll eventually destroy 500-1000 enemies without the difficulty rising to the point where it's impossible to not get hit at least once.

Almost great

Simple yet addicting gameplay. Creative storyline. Really nice achievement system and unlockable storyline. I liked it, and would like to call it one of my all time favorites.

However, there were some flaws that just ruined it for me. The main one was the difficulty ramp. It's fairly easy for most of the game, but then the one last "Platinum Chain" achievement is virtually impossible. I don't mind difficult games, but I don't like the way this one sneaks up on me. When I spend a few hours on a game I like to be able to finish it.

One way to fix this would be to increase the bonuses. It would also be nice if they were something other than just extra skill points. Skill points are nice, but get kind of boring.

That's about all the flaws though. Overall good game. Good luck in future submissions.

Great game! Just thinking, maybe 2 more categories to upgrade: movement speed and weapon power. I know you can upgrade fire spread and speed, crit chance and piercing, but an increase to base power would be nice. and the ship is quite agile but maybe it could start a bit slower? to accomodate this, maybe upgrade points could be given out a bit more readily.

But yeah, good fun, old-skool game!
