I just wanted to say thanks for just over a week on the front page. I appreciate it Tom. We even got the big featured item slot for a day or two! So that was really wicked :D
As of today we also hit 100k views which is awesome! Thanks to everyone who stopped by to watch. It was a blast to make, and I appreciate the support. Look out for a volume 3 somewhere down the line!

Sorry for some of the initial bugs with the menu, but I got everything ironed out. The About section now works, the sounds contributed are corrected, and a few other minor adjustments are ready to go!!

"Did You Hear That?" is a collaboration of sound and animation from 10 talented artists here on Newgrounds.

All participants in this collab were hand selected by me, Goat-Man. All activities in this collab were conducted through privatemessages. Meaning members had no interaction with each other, and never knew who they were working with.

Each member was told to hand in one random sound effect. The sound was allowed to be anything that they wanted. I took all handed in sound effects, and organized them into a random order. Each member was given this compiled sound file, and weren't allowed to change it in any way.

Since there were no interactions between members, each animation came out 100% different because they were unable to take ideas from one another.

The name "Did You Hear That?" came from the idea that each sound effect was interpreted differently. So each member heard and invisioned a different scene than the others.

This is actually the first time that members in the collab will be able to see everyone that they worked with throughout the project. But, that was really just me being a tease more than anything :P

Thank you so much to the members for your hard work and efforts.
This was a blast to work on, and I loved organizing it!
I hope you all love how it turned out as much as I do.

Special thanks to LazyMuffin for narrating the menu, and also making a fantastic song! It really helped make it that much more enjoyeable :)
A big thanks to Mr. Fulp for giving us a spot on the front page, as well as the featured movie section! Thanks so much! I love Newgrounds!!

Just an opinion

It's just my opinion plz don't delete. I see many ppl like it I not have anything against that.
Animation was good mostly. I liked the style of JonBro with that chicken legs dog.

The sound pick wasn't good and plots themselves was boring for me.

Overal it's nicely drawn and concept is intresting. Just too boring plots. I think this is because of the sound pick.

There were a lot of good parts ;)

Coughing Dog was my favorite though.
Turtle Co and Jonbro are tied for second :)

I like the idea for this collab I hope to see more "vol #" :P

Noodle responds:

I hope to see more too! But i don't want to do to many and have them go stale. I'll cut them off when I feel the creative juices are no longer flowing swimmingly.

Maybe I'll hit you up when the 3rd rolls around ;)
Here's hoping it does anyways

I was wondering when I'd finally get to see this, and I wasn't disappointed :)
All the entries were very refreshing and it was cool to see how everyone interpreted the sounds. I espscially like lazymuffins and turtleco's contributions - great job! There were a few bugs like you mentioned, in addition all the sounds in the author bio sections besides yours were the splash, which was my sound, and you've used my old icon in the scenes section but besides that I found the menu very slick with nary a detail spared. Now all that's left to do is pass on the torch to the next bunch of unsuspecting animators for DYHT vol 3!

Sounds great.

A well animated and sounding sequel. The interpretations were awesome as well as the introductions to each of the artists. Great job to all the animators involved.

Noodle responds:

Sorry you didn't get your own special intro to your part :(
turtleco actually said that maybe I should make something like them to stick in everyones bio, but I thought the transitions were a neater idea

"Totally funny!"

I'm glad of the idea where animators take sounds put together by the organizer and animate it in their own way. I also liked the transitions between the parts. Deja-Vu+Animation=Pure collaborative effort!!

Noodle responds:

Haha, some sort of Deju-Vu related pun might have actually been a good title for this collab!
Glad you enjoyed
