I made a quiz a couple of days ago, but this one turned out better so I released it as a new one. The first quiz got a lot of feedback, which I used to improve it.

UPDATED CONTROLS: When told you can choose between MOUSE controls or UP/DOWN arrow keys and ENTER controls by clicking the screen or pressing ENTER.

The zombies are based on the zombies in the book "The Zombie Survival Guide" by Max Brooks.
In the second part of the introduction you can read up on them, but you can skip it by clicking the screen.
This is to avoid any confusion. We all have different ideas on how zombies work because of films/games.

Hope you enjoy it!

UPDATE[1.01]: I have now fixed the pre-loader, as it didn't initially show properly!

- You can now mute the music by pressing M.
- Added a question regarding explosives/gun powder.
- Added a question regarding first aid.
- After playing through once you can now read about the questions and answers if you play it again. You will be notified after pressing enter in the end of how it works.
- A zombie head in the foreground.

- Re-created all graphical elements of the game.
- Fixed some grammar and spelling errors.
- Added a line in the intro about the zombie's senses.
- Added some extra titles in the end.

Front Page!? Never thought it would be this popular!
Thank you all so incredibly much for the support!

Tch, nice interface, but the info. is amateur...

It gets it a 6, for a nice interface and reasonable enough accuracy given the questions, but it takes some serious hits for predictable questions lacking in foresight.

I'll start by mentioning the positives: the accuracy of the results is acceptable; someone who's completely screwed would hardly pass, that is. That, and the music and interface were quite well done (I can appreciate good programming practice even if I disagree with the information). Music was fitting, and the control options considerate.

First problem, however, is basing the quiz off of a single source, which is little more than blind fandom. Yes, the "Zombie Survival Guide" is a decent read, but the chances of that exact nature of zombie is hardly plausible, and actually mentioning the book so forwardly is just pathetic. Solenum? Really? The only thing that mentioning the name does is degrade the quiz's credibility by proving your single source.

But then there's the lack of applied psychology. Think about the audience, for one. Any gibbering fool could figure that strength is important, so getting a result out of that seems rather pointless. An indirect gauge that's less general, like "how much can you lift", or "how often do you exercise" would work better for such questions (there's quite a few like that). Or questions on how to treat the injured, rather than if you THINK you can. Perception falsifies information and skews results, and the questions aren't specific enough to fix that.

Then, there are not enough questions about skills, plans, and psychology. The fear question is good, and the reflex test great, but you don't ask about "what kind of shelter would be best against zombies" (answer: something along the lines of "anything with a ladder or that otherwise requires dexterity to enter and that the entryway can be quickly removed"). Also, you don't remotely take into account that people may have particular "plans" in place (like a stockpile of supplies that would last for years, or a specific location a group may have arranged to go during an emergency, etc.), nor do you analyze the individuals skills beyond knowledge (someone who runs or does parkour would definitely hold an advantage, as would someone who was accurate with a firearm, who knew carpentry, who was good at climbing... there's numerous missing bits in this area). It's incredibly shallow in the statistics it tracks.

Then, there's the results, which is difficult to explain. It's too easy to cheat your way through by answering with expected answers. Sure, you can take the "honesty" plea there, but people are going for "high score" results most of the time. Thus, questions should be less direct, yes, but scoring should be toned down to aid that. Avoid percentages (luck is a MAJOR factor, after all), and try a more general tier system. There should be some overflow (more than 100% worth of questions), since there's no "perfect" survivalist for a zombie attack (unless, again, they replay for high marks or whatnot), and so the scoring should reflect that... but on the other hand, fatal mistakes should be punished by REDUCING that score more drastically (below 0% style overflow, that is). With overflow, results are more accurate by being reasonable about expectations. Basically, it's not a definitive calculation, so it shouldn't be presented as such.

Again, the layout and design is quite nice, and given the source the questions are relevant, but I'm trying to be constructive here. Also, humor is a powerful tool in any game, and this is no exception. Tossing in a few joke answers can liven up any quiz game (weapon choice: lightsaber/left shoe/rabid squirrel; or shelter: the nearest box), and it can especially be applied to results. Also, a breakdown of individual question results would be helpful to anyone seeking to get better at such survival. Oh, and giving different types of survival as results (survive: logic; survive: hide; die: idiot; die: not taking the questions seriously; and so on).

All in all it's an about average quiz, with a lot of polish, and a little spark of creativit
