WOW FRONTPAGE!! THANKS, we'd nearly given up hope! Thank you so much ^_^
Thanks fo these great reviews and daily fourth! we'll try to respond to as many as we can!
There's a couple reviews debating the naming of the animation or antagonist, apologies for not making it clear;
As the cat in the hat was the only character in the movie relating to Dr Seuss, we felt it was fitting that he should be the embodiment of the name. We used the Cat in the Hat (possibly the most recognisable of Dr. Seuss' creations) as a representative, we are well aware that they are separate people/things/pseudonyms. Sorry for that confusion! :)

Doctor Seuss. Oh, really? Doctor of what, might I ask? Well, I did ask. And this is what I came up with.

After doodling up a quick script and finding some voice talent at the Voice Acting Club, I entrusted the rest of the project to TheThingy5, who promptly animated for months and months while I sat on my butt playing Bombliss on the NES. Occasionally, I'd forget all about this project. But now it's complete, and I'm absolutely thrilled. I'll stop talking soon because no one wants to spend more time reading the description than watching the animation, but first I just want to give a huge thanks to TheThingy5 and all of our wonderful voice actors, without whom this animation wouldn't exist. Hooray for them!

Firstly i'd just like to apologise for the scruffiness of the first minute or so of the animation, i was trying out a new style and it took a while to get used to.
You can adjust the quality by right clicking the flash, this is because the beginning is especially graphically heavy and may lag.
The total frames are 6898 at 24 fps and run time is about 4 mins.
Anyway it was a real pleasure to work on such a fantastic script by DarkLink and with the brilliant talent of all the actors, I hope i've done it justice.
BTW there IS an easter egg at the end! if you can find it ;)

I really like your work. The drawings and animation are really superb.
The only thing I regret is the gray, too bright and clear, in my opinion, instead of a true and deep black that would have given to the whole scene its dramatic and crazy side.
Anyway congratulations for this excellent work and carry on !

CatFat responds:

Strangely, though i did use a lighter more friendly black, it was much darker until i submitted it, it's as though NG saturated it. It's unfortunate that it detracted from your experience of the movie, i had intended it it to be very dark as you described and i'll take away this lesson for my future animations.

I'll never look at the Cat in the Hat the same...

Never ever again. This movie was so hilarious, it had me laughing from the minute the Cat appeared. I like the style of animation it gives an almost eerie feeling to the movie.

That being said, the script was kind of twisted. Seeing the Cat in the Hat just hacking away at people with a scalpel was so bizarre. But nevertheless, this cartoon was hilarious, and you did a great job with it!
