Climbing up the stairway in search of revelation, a lone traveler defies a spiteful god residing at the top of the world. Unamused, the indignant deity lays down increasingly difficult laws designed to kill his unwelcome visitor as he ascends toward the moonlit skies. Can you make it to the very top and discover the secrets of this divine structure? May heaven grant you fortune.

great game!

level 9 fkd me up..
died so many times

i think there's a glitch!

it's good, but on the "you cant walk left" level, not only is it impossible but every once in a while it's impossible to move and it falls into a *smite,die* loop.

It's not glitch; you cannot WALK left, but isn't there something else you can do to move left instead?

But other than that, nice game, but if you are gonna pull DICK moves, then the controls need to be flawless. I pressed up and then the character didn't jump 15 times now.

Thou art a cruel and angry programmer!

Lovely little twist to platforming. Although I found myself cursing your name at one point, any fustration brought on by the game was always immediately laughed off by the admittedly clever quirks added to some deceptively simply level design.

It was however very disappointing to see this charm be boiled down into just another unforgiving platformer in the games conclusion despite it's clever ending.

Really nice visuals though, they leapt out as a really good Game Boy game, which supported by the funky little soundtrack, created a sweet retro feel. The many little details in all gave the game a great atmosphere, my only hope is that future games are confident enough to remain consistent.

Thanks a lot. I didn't program the main game though; I only fixed bugs and programmed the level editor. Originally I was brought into this project just to compose music, but I am a programmer as well. (This is Flashy talking, by the way.)

Serious Potential

There's a good concept here, not only the story but the mechanics of a jumper where arbitrary rules are enforced by instant death from an unseen god figure. This definitely deserves a better treatment, an expansion, possibly with more intense jumping mechanics including tools and possibly puzzle labyrinths and such. There was definitely something enticing about how annoying the rules seemed at first combined with the dialogue from the unseen god that made it almost necessary to beat the game. WIth a larger less obtuse story, more intense jump mechanics, and possibly puzzle solving portions, maybe short oppurtunities to thwart the arbitrary rules like when next to a lightning rod, I could definitely see myself wanting this to be a fully fledged PC or console game.
