Climbing up the stairway in search of revelation, a lone traveler defies a spiteful god residing at the top of the world. Unamused, the indignant deity lays down increasingly difficult laws designed to kill his unwelcome visitor as he ascends toward the moonlit skies. Can you make it to the very top and discover the secrets of this divine structure? May heaven grant you fortune.

!!! Glitch !!!

at level 4, jump over the first set of gold blocks, then, from the second golden block (the one near the top right) jump to the right off that block and keep holding right, you should now be under the map!

No words to describe

I usually don't play games here on newgrounds. but as I started this, ready to close the browser, the music pierced my ears and I was suddenly in love.

This was a great, great experience. I've no words to express how epic, how challenging, how much of an extraordinary experience this masterpiece has bestowed me.

It was so epic, that by the end I had teary eyes, and in every aspect, this has been the best of the best of the best short game I've ever played.

Puts a nice little spin on things.

I'll play again when the medals start working. While I'm not into the whole "IMPOSSIBLY HARD PLATFORMER" theme, this game does set new standards for it. I like how there are new rules added to the game with each level you make it to. The game will definitely make you want to progress farther, no matter how seemingly impossible it may be.

So many thoughts

This game is a real mixed bag for me. I did enjoy many things about this platformer, namely the music, the artwork, and the general idea for the platformer. What I didn't like was the rule based system that applied to the game itself. Several times I was getting very irritated at not being able to utilize what little controls I actually have. Simply moving left killed me so many times, I can't count. But I beat this, and I still don't feel that accomplished. It came down to two or three levels that just took the difficulty too hard too fast.
If the rule thing has to stay, perhaps considering different, more appropriate rules to balance the game play as it progresses.
