Climbing up the stairway in search of revelation, a lone traveler defies a spiteful god residing at the top of the world. Unamused, the indignant deity lays down increasingly difficult laws designed to kill his unwelcome visitor as he ascends toward the moonlit skies. Can you make it to the very top and discover the secrets of this divine structure? May heaven grant you fortune.

difficult...

a good idea and a nice concept of adding additional rules each level, i managed to reach lvl 8 but gave up because levels were just getting too long and hard without actually adding any thing new that is fun, you just added more ways to die. I gave this a 7 because it was fun at first but became just frustrating so i gave up. one of the major issues is the camra is too near the character so we can't see what is going on around us. Also, i would not have been put off so easily if the game looked a bit more stylish, insted of sinple blocks of pixels. Checkpoints in longer levels would also be much appreciated and i hate the timer on levels that require you to time jumps correctly, since it becomes necessary to get to that point and die the first few trys just getting used to the timing of the jump, since you don't have time to stand there and work it out.

besides all that stuff above, it was a good game, but definitely needs improving.

Everybody said the music was awesome...

at they were RIGHT!! Wow, those are some crazy 8bit tracks you have for the stages! WELL DONE!

I actually loved the difficulty factor, even though it was sometimes it was frustrating, it didn't seem like it was frustrating to the point were it was unfair. This game is definitely trial and error, but I'm glad there weren't like random things that would pop out and kill you (*cough* Megaman *cough*). The rules were definitely a good idea to amp the difficulty level.

Plus great indie game ending you have there! I'm glad I didn't just play all that for a "you reached the top! great job! GAME OVER!"

In all that is holy...

I have a love-hate relationship with this game. I love how challenging and 'legit' this game is, but I hate how challenging and evil this game is. Honestly, I never want to stop playing because of how fun this is - but I need to stop playing before I break something out of rage.

I have to say that the music reminded me of those DS/Gameboy/arcade games that I've played so often when I was younger and even today.

excellent game!

I loved this games so much it was very difficult, yet it kept me playing somehow.

I made a level but it was too big to fit the characters limit in this review.
so i posted it on my profile page. I hope ya like it. And good luck....
