cling is an experimental physics based platformer-esque game. I enjoyed working on it as well as playing it because I think it is a pretty unique game, and also pretty challenging. Yes, it's hard, but you need to get over that. I really don't want to hear any whining about that.
Besides, the game isn't nearly that bad once you get the hang of it. I think most of the difficulty stems from the new gameplay format.

Nice puzzler/plaformer combination

Well, I wanted to say it's too hard, but then I read your discription so I won't say it's too hard generally..

I do not think that it is the new gameplay that makes the game hard but how much you are able to actually control the spider. What I mean is that you should give the the user more control over the character. Sometimes it is just swinging some way where the player never intended it to be.

I know that the way of controlling is what the makes it as it is, but I think you could either smoothen the control or give it some tweak, like giving the player the possibility to give the spider a little boost while airbourne or something like that.

I hope you'll make a sequel, also upgrades (I know, everyone wants upgrades) would be nice but not a must. Player Editor is already there, that's a big plus :)

In the end I also need to praise you after my criticism (sorry, it came with the flow of writing). Of course the physics are great in your game and the gameplay is something new and creative. Normally I don't like games that advertise with "great physics" because this ain't something new by now anymore, but here it really is something new. I'm not a graphic whore so I don't care about that, but you've done that neither too bad nor too well, but for my likings it's ok.

Please think about the controls if you're about to make a sequel and consider us poor players who do not want to die 30 times at the same place :)
4/5 and 8/10 from me.

Thanks for the detailed critique. A double jump type control was something that was suggested to me right around the time I was done with the game, so it was a little late to add it.
I am planning on a sequel though, and am definitely considering adding it to that, as well as bunch of new objects to interact with.
As for the graphics, I'm really a programmer mainly, so I did my best. I will agree that they are not the best or fanciest, but I made them simple so that I could make it clean. If I added a lot more detail, it probably would have looked pretty bad, since I would totally mess it up!

Amazing!

Great graphics, wonderful physics, and finally a new and interesting gameplay / story line type thing... you get the idea. I love it, keep up the good work!
