I decided to release my first Flash game, which I used to learn Flixel a while back. It's an expanded remake, more of a sequel I guess, of two old games of mine: elacsy and 2elacsy.
You can aim for a high score on the default level, or you can create your own by entering any word, which becomes the seed for the level generator. The high score table doesn't care which level you were on, so experiment and find one that you're awesome at.
Score is earned by shooting foes, collecting green things from cargo planes, or grazing enemy bullets (touching them with your ship but not letting them kill you by hitting your cockpit).
Shoot with X, slow down if you need to with C or Z. Fly with the arrow keys.
You can also use the mouse if you want but that would be kinda tricky.
Have fun!
PS: Easy? Slow? Try HARD MODE: the real game.

So close, but no cigar
this game would have a lot of promise as a Japanese style shmup, with the amount of projectiles on screen and the "slow time down" feature. but the game requires some weapon upgrade system such as the mechanic used in the raiden series where upon defeating enemies a weapon upgrade may come out. or just a generic upgrade tree with ex. spread shot, shoot behind, etc.
i feel that this game is good but could be better. having no weapon options really make the game difficult. one person below me suggested having a life bar, but i disagree with that. i think that you should keep it where one enemie projectile will kill you and just make some sort of weapon upgrade system ( i suggest a raiden or any other side scrolling shooter style)
This game is really fun, but without even a simple weapon upgrade system, of just a stronger weapon instead of the weapon now, it really hinders the gameplay of the game.
synopsis: game could be better but is good, all it needs is a weapon upgrade system

Game is meh...
A shooter with one weapon, no upgrade system and no interesting mechanics.
Play for five minutes an you've pretty much seen everything there is to see.
I did like the minimalist art style though, so you get a seven instead of five.

Someone's been playing 1942
Right? Riiiiiight?
That's all I was thinking about while playing this. A one-life, color-drained version of 1942.
Not bad. Not good. I'll call this one a 'Meh'.
