But when did Kermit go from being a Muppet to being a citizen of Sesame Street?

Hello GespenstKAF, you must be too young to have watched the early shows in 1970's. So yes I am old and watched Sesame Street in my formative years. As I've researched, Kermit was first introduced in "Sammy and Friends", Jim Henson's own five-minute shows back in 1955. Then he was approached by CTW when Sesame Street was being created and eventually aired in 1969. Jim developed The Muppet Show to cater for the older audience and premiered in 1976. Hope that Helped. Thanks for the rate. Sorry I had to use Kermit. I just thought he was the most respectable of the muppets so I used him for a funnier effect.
