Your game was really good, until some stupid glitch occured. It wouldn't accept my commands every now and then, instead deciding it would do it's own thing. Killed me like five times. I decided I had enough eventually.

Flash in the Pan

A decent game marred by a terrible story basically copy-pasted from Dead Space/ Event Horizon. Unfortunately the incredible animation can't make up for mediocre platforming and boring boss fights.

Good basis...

...nice graphics, story and idea... very poor execution... Twice got stuck at the far end of level two without being able to go forward or back. And the controls are so sticky. If you are running, the jump often fails to work in time. Then a standing jump often fails too. All very frustrating, considering the potential.

this game...
at first i thought it was amazing: great story, good game mechanics.
After playing for a while, the controls became frustrating and the gameplay tedious. the jumping alone may be responsible for carpal tunnel syndrome in my left hand(i'm a righty), i swear, the jumping was sooo AGGRIVATING!!! half the time he wouldn't jump, and the double jump just made it worse. every boss battle would start to lag, not good.
but the story was good, i liked the plot line. the animations seemed welcoming, luring me into a false sense of security and i liked that too. the dialogue was a little wanting, but acceptable.
overall 2 for the story, 1 for animation, 0 for everything else.

For a game that has a disclaimer for "Scary images not meant for children" It wasn't very scary at all. Sure things popped up every now and again, but it was more annoying that an enemy got a cheap shot on me than scary. Also, it's really hard to take anything meant to be scary seriously with the art style that's used. It looks way too cartoony, especially with the way the character bobs up and down as he walks, it looks silly.

This is also the reason you don't typically see platformers in the horror genre, there's not enough immersion with the control style to be scary.

All in all, pretty decent game, bosses were insanely easy compared to the normal enemies. Most bosses can be killed by simply finding the right spot and holding down the fire button. It has sort of a metroid feel to it, but the platforming just seemed tedious since all it was was long hallways filled with enemies, no real challenging platforming or puzzles.
