Pretty kick ass

Loved the B-type horror dialogue, was pretty laughable at points, however the actual graphics/artistic quality of the game is what makes it shine. The only downfall is that it's way too easy. I didn't die until the final boss fight, and once you realize that he pushes you off the edge, you just double jump and kill him. Very reminiscent of Metroid and old NES games. Controls were a bit simplistic as well, not necessarily a bad thing (a nod to old school gaming I reckon) though I feel that some people won't like it.

Excellent... until

What were you thinking when you added the final armour into the game? It gives you absolutely no assistance in the game what so ever. When you get to the final boss fight; the armour becomes harder to overcome than the boss. Let me explain. I don't know how other people move on small platforms on these games, but personally I adjust my position by small taps of the movement keys. I've been doing this so long it's become force of habit. So you can imagine my frustration when upon tapping the keys, to reposition myself after being hit by a laser, I immediately run off the platform at high speeds.

Now don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind if the armour gave me any sort of help at any point in the game, but it's like you put it in there just to make things more difficult.

OK, enough with the complaining. The game itself was very well made; the graphics were good, the story was interesting, and the game play fairly fun.

Overall an enjoyable game and if there hadn't been such a large flaw in the game I would have given it a 9.

Loved the gore and graphics! xD

-Would have prefered mouse targeting instead of only being able to shoot straight, since it takes really long to shoot down those things stuck on the ceiling by jumping n tapping.

-The prototype armor was a pain in the ass! The only use of its dash ability being faster lvl times, since double jumping is a better way to dodge, and not to mention it gets disabled when submerged in poison(when u REALLY need it). More oftenly it sends you off the edge, especially during the last boss fight. You should reduce the detection interval for the double arrow key, its way too sensitive. Another suggestion would be adding more situations where it would be required, such as long jumps across wide gaps.

-I found an exploit for the final boss! After jumping onto the 1st platform(where the battle begins), jump backwards onto the platform you started on. The boss will not use melee and won't even change its attack pattern! This way, even if you get hit you won't get knocked off! Then hold down spacebar and double jump whenever its about to fire its laser beam(if your lvl is high enough you won't even need to bother dodging).

A couple of suggestions:
-Mouse targeting, maybe ammo cap for increased difficulty?
-More weapon variety? Instead of the same old gun(started out like a shotgun and ended up like a machine gun. I LOLed when how lvling up made you pull the trigger faster?)
-Reduce sensitivity of prototype armor's dash. Maybe add more situations to use it.
-Harder bosses. They really are too predictable. Need more attack patterns.
-I loved the "in the dark" environment, but felt that you could've taken advantage of it a little more! Maybe make enemies sneak up behind you? That would totally increase the scare factor! RAWR

How do you put it...its too easy and too hard in a way. Anyway great job! Hoping to see a sequel, maybe you as the alien? ;)
