I like most Berzerk Studio stuff...

I realize original ideas aren't a strong point of yours so setting that aside...
The game has decently solid controls and smooth animations. The art quality is good. The sound effects and music fit and were good quality.
Now the criticism...
1- The art style is too cartoony for the horror genre.
2- Having only one weapon with one attack makes for very boring, repetitive combat gameplay. Especially when the majority of your gameplay IS the combat, that's a big minus.
3- The story was unoriginal and uninteresting. You can make a game with an unoriginal and uninteresting story, but then the gameplay has to be really good. In this game it just wasn't. The only real motivation to play the game was the story and it just wasn't there.
I know you guys can do a lot better than this so I was surprised and disappointed.

great!

it was a very good game. the bosses were hard but fun and i loved it. the one problem is that i never got the medals. i looked on the BerzerkStudio page and it had a medal but when i clicked on it it went to the front page. other then that its a great game keep up the good work.

A space marine is you!

This game was a fun experience. The overall feel of the game was as if Doom 3 was 2D. Usually in games like this you get the feel of being immune to whatever is plaguing everyone else, but with this game every time he keels over I think "Huh, so this is what the crew went through." The logs across the ship were a spooky break from the action to unfold the mystery of Hermes. While the story was predictable near the end I found myself creeped out by the stories.
The environment was repetitive, although I loved the sections where your flash light is the only source of light. There where different this in the background sure like medical equipment or captain's chairs but I didn't really notice it until there was a large mountain in the background.
The suit looked bad ass and they progressively got better looking. Once I got the second suit the boost made me keep thinking Metroid. The spread gun reminded me of Contra a bit. I do wish that you put an ability to aim the gun upwards at least. Killing the Ceiling monsters were a pain.
The bosses were disturbing, like the fat guys with vaginas on their stomachs.
Over all I had fun playing you game. 8/10 5/5

Had potential, but the flaws ruined it a bit

I've played through the game, indeed it's like Metroid, or at least Megaman. And it has some potential to it. However, it had some major flaws in it.

1. The keys would stick every now and then (minor glitch)
2. When you level up sometimes, your health drops dangerously low, even when near full health (disastrous glitch)
3. The Speed boost power up (to me) is only good when you have to run away from those speed demons, and although it doesn't happen to me, is triggered way too easily (major glitch, especially when combined with problem 1)
4. Not being able to tell what's above or below you can mess up your plans big time. (something to recommend for next time). Also a way to aim for those enemies is also recommended.

Those are the only things that bugged me. By the way, the ending reeks (in my opinion) How can you have gone through the whole game, just to see the ending, and be disappointed.

This was awesome

It was the most intense game we have seen here in a while. I am glad you didn't decide to go with that aiming with the mouse mess as it often ruins the gameplay experience. Making you focus more on mouse commands than the actual game. Great graffix, excelent story, very intense. I didn't stop playing until I was done with the games story. Wow. Make sequels.
Oh and don't worry about the mouse aiming mess, maybe focus on directional aiming like in contra.
