Help Lifeguard Larry Deluxe save the fat kid who apparently is going to drown in a minute. Get him out of the pool safely to win the game.
This is a text based adventure game enter commands in the text box at the bottom of the screen and read the responses. This was made for the first Newgrounds Game Jam, the theme was Summer Heat. The Game Jam was completed in 2 days start to finish.
Just a side note. Some of the team is working on polishing this game up and changing it's format to a point and click adventure game. When it is submitted it will be linked here.
If you don't like the text controls on this version of the game you should try the point and click version...

Hahaha that's just great!
No matter how many of these text based adventure games I see I never seem to tire of it. This is one of them each with funny results. Nicely done for the first game jam guys <3

"DIVE RIGHT IN!" - walk to pool, dive in pool
"FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS IS HARD!" - walk to wheelbarrow, kick wheelbarrow, pick up cement, walk to pool, throw cement in pool
"GET OVER HERE!" - walk to harpoon, pick up harpoon, walk to pool, save fat kid
"HEADSHOT!" - walk to harpoon, pick up harpoon, walk to pool, use harpoon
"THE GAMBLER" - walk to pool, jump in pool
"THUMB UP YOUR BUTT" - do nothing/ waste clock
"BUTTERFLY EFFECT" - walk to quarter, pick up quarter, walk to rocket, put quarter in rocket, jump in rocket, press green button

i loved this game, i thought it was hilarious and creative. i hope my walkthrough helped a tiny bit ;D
