This game was made possible by a grant from the Digital Media & Learning Competition. The goal was to make a truly educational game that was also genuinely fun to play. We hope students, teachers, and gamers will all enjoy the game, and encourage you to visit www.cellcraftgame.com, which will soon have an open forum and eventually downloadable teacher materials.

The game was designed by Anthony Pecorella. The lead programmer was larsiusprime of Super Energy Apocalypse fame, and the art was by LILg, who created the Reincarnation series. A custom soundtrack was created by Hibiki Haruto.

Also thanks to Dr. Jed Macosko at Wake Forest University and Dr. David Dewitt at Liberty University for providing lots of support and biological guidance.

Thanks so much for the support and kind words - this has already exceeded my hopes in terms of a response for the game! :-D

This game can be processor intensive. There are some options in the menu for reducing the graphics that may help.

***Fixes in v1.0.1***
- Fixed issue in final level with some buttons suddenly no longer functioning.
- Fixed membrane explosion when recycling membrane quickly.
- Possibly fixed fatty acid glitch in Level 3
- Fixed two typos

There is still an issue with getting stuck too far outside of the colored area. Solution - don't go out there. :) It's a somewhat complicated fix, so I'm not sure if we'll get it in or not, but it's the easiest to avoid too.

Brilliant and funny!

Smart game. Really intelligent and humorous. I liked everything about it. The only thing that bothered me was that the membrane would go crazy if you made it too big to fast. But that was not a huge deal.

Otherwise, great game, funny ending. Make another....or further one.

educational AND entertaining!

fantastic game, truly amazing. I admit I learned quite a bit about cells and their inner workings, don't expect me to remember what all that stuff is called though lol! had a glitch I got a few times on the asteroid level where Jeeves kept interrupting what I was doing and glitched my mouse, I was in the middle of moving when he spoke so I was stuck on the "click and drag to move" and couldn't click on anything so I just died. fix that and it's def a 10!

Science-tastic!

Fun and educational! This made me re-learn more in a half hour than a half semester in anatomy. (Dons white lab coat) To the science mobile!

Mission Achieved!

What a great game man. Not that I have much scientific background but I do remember most of high school biology and your science behind this was spot on.

Excellent game mechanics, great story, awesome game play. I think this would be the first game that I will give full scores here on NG. Excellent contribution to the RTS world.

I would love to see this on PSN Minis or what it would look like as a full video game.

THANK YOU!!!!!

Nice

Awesome game, I love that there are some educational properties to it without it being a total snooze. -1 only because of the forewarned "stuck outside" glitch, that I found myself being stuck, but besides that awesome.
