Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.

This was originally for Halloween of last year but never got around to finish it. I decided to end it differently from what I had planned. It's my first animation that isn't based on other people's characters.

The intro is simple as I want people to focus on the movie itself.

I hope you enjoy it and I will be looking forward to any feedback, both positive and negative.

Enjoy :)

Edit 1 - I switched the loader to one with a play button so it doesn't loop.
Edit 2 - WOOO! My first award, a daily 3rd. I'm so happy. Thank you everyone for voting for me. :D
Edit 3 - I swear I must be dreaming.....FRONT PAGE!..OMGGGG..I'm bouncing up and down with excitement and joy and everything. WOW. THANK YOU NEWGROUNDS AND E VERYONE. If I didn't have a horrible sunburn right now I'd go out and celebrate. :D

I was expecting more of a thrill, but was left wondering where it was. I did enjoy it though, took me off guard for a minute. all in all, was pretty good.

Pretty interesting

It's weird how the title is "Painting With Pain" when the onscreen title is "The Bloody Painter". Of course, as I would know from reading stuff by Leonard Maltin, that sort of thing happens a lot in movies. The best part was probably how you created such a spooky atmosphere. The animation wasn't the best, but still nice. I once heard of this guy who made paintings using his own blood. Using others blood would be a much more plentiful resource.

A pity this doesn't seem to have that high a rating now, but it's still fairly popular. I like how everything is set up to be so innocent in the beginning. You see such ordinary things and it isn't until after halfway through you notice something out of place. It's truly effective when it does happen. Not the best out there, but pretty good.

Too much suspense...

For so little payoff... I'd say about 90% of this Flash is composed of zoom-ins, and the tension is so high by the end that the viewer is expecting to either be tricked by a silly gag, or be shocked by something truly horrific, but it ends up being neither.

All in all though, you've accomplished something, and that's is well worth the effort of attempting anything. It seems like you have a knack for this stuff, and it will improve as you go, so keep making more animations! I agree with some others on here that maybe it should be a longer, but it should have more meaningful content. As a rule of thumb, if it doesn't tell us something about the story (something important that we need to know) Cut it.

Keep at it. Looking forward to more!

what a creep

OMG they've killed ( whats her name ). You bastard.
I'm wondering if that dushbag has got a single girlfriend in his entire life

???

The only thing that's new is that the name changed from The Bloody Painter to painting with pain and MAYBE it was a bit faster. I personally hated the suspense for something that small of a cliff... If it had more of a story line to it then it would be much better.
