"Every day the same dream" is a slightly existential riff on the theme of alienation and refusal of labor. The idea was to charge the cyclic nature of most video games with some kind of meaning (i.e. the "play again" is not a game over). Yes, there is an end state, you can "beat" the game.

Made in about 6 days: 3 code + 3 content + 1 making crappy drones with an electric guitar (alternate soundtrack that didn't make into the final game).

Music by Jesse Stiles
Made in 6 days for the Experimental Gameplay Project - theme "art game"

Edit: there was a misattribution in the original entry, thank you Tom for fixing it.

a game that makes you think

it's just a great artwork and very deep, i realize that the philosophy of existentialism has to go with it

when i finished the game I was like OMG... i look at the tittle and tried to understand the connection with what i played... um creepy

Holy Shit !

This game scared the shit out of me ! Just like life, the same grey colors, the same days, the same horroristic music !
But anyway, the game might be scary for me, I love it, because of the educational ending, and the non-life athmosphere. The main point in the game, is the elevator lady, who says, how many steps do we have to walk, to become a new man, and she is the only person, who changes for us. Everyday she speak the different number of the steps, nobody could speak a different word for me, but she could, just for help.
The only thing it is in my mind, that why on earth do I have to jump down, if I end up to jump down again, and finally die. What a mistery, but I receive the important message from the game, and everyday in my entire life, try to fight a better place for myself.
This game is in my favourites.

Nah.

This isn't a goddamn game, and it isn't a piece of artwork. For the love of christ it's like people aren't even fucking trying with these "art" games anymore. Everytime a game packages itself as a [pretentious] "art" game, they garner a whole metric fuckton of undeserved praise when all they did was put together the laziest flash they could possibly make, whilst putting forward such little effort with "simplistic graphics" or "edgy monochrome bullshit", then excuse the lack of actually putting some effort into it because they SAY they're telling a story.
