"Every day the same dream" is a slightly existential riff on the theme of alienation and refusal of labor. The idea was to charge the cyclic nature of most video games with some kind of meaning (i.e. the "play again" is not a game over). Yes, there is an end state, you can "beat" the game.

Made in about 6 days: 3 code + 3 content + 1 making crappy drones with an electric guitar (alternate soundtrack that didn't make into the final game).

Music by Jesse Stiles
Made in 6 days for the Experimental Gameplay Project - theme "art game"

Edit: there was a misattribution in the original entry, thank you Tom for fixing it.

Brilliant

I love what you're trying to say with this game. It's sad, but very very true.

I also loved how many things you could do differently in it. Great job!

Beautiful!

So very sad, though. The American dream is not really that great of a dream at all... that theme is very present in this game, and I find it amazing.

For those that just think it repeats over and over... try doing things out of this guys norm. Decide not to drive the car, decide to watch the leaf fall... don't go to your cubicle. In this game, it is what you refuse to do that makes the game... not what you are told to do. But that comes with consequences... and that makes this game heartbreaking all the way around.

Thanks for making this.
