"Every day the same dream" is a slightly existential riff on the theme of alienation and refusal of labor. The idea was to charge the cyclic nature of most video games with some kind of meaning (i.e. the "play again" is not a game over). Yes, there is an end state, you can "beat" the game.

Made in about 6 days: 3 code + 3 content + 1 making crappy drones with an electric guitar (alternate soundtrack that didn't make into the final game).

Music by Jesse Stiles
Made in 6 days for the Experimental Gameplay Project - theme "art game"

Edit: there was a misattribution in the original entry, thank you Tom for fixing it.

I'm confused

I actually beat the game and I'm a little confused about the point. I liked the game and it was good but the message to it all may be a little bit hard to read.

SPOILER!!!

I'd recommend playing without cheating, but I saw a few people who couldn't figure all 5 steps, so I'll post'em.
Typically: You just walk to the right, interacting with everything along the way until you reach your cubicle. This path will not get you through the game! You gotta switch it up each pass. The lady in the elevator will tell you how many steps left to go. So here are the steps.
(1) Go down the elevator, go left to the bum.
(2) Get out of your car while driving and walk till the cow (you can't miss it).
(3) After driving, wait for the leaf to drop and catch it [space].
(4) Don't get dressed, go all the way to work and get fired for no tie.
(5) Walk right past your cubicle and jump off the roof.
And (6), you'll see nobody (Saturday?). Pass your cubicle to the roof and watch somebody (yourself?) jump. Game Over!
NOTE: #2 and #3 can be done with one of the other ones (3 in one pass).
