Sorry the game was so hard, was just trying to make something colorful and happy, but not too easy like so many. I'll try to do a better job next time. ^_^

Hi guys, I know this is a super complicating game or anything but I think it is semi challenging and a really good excuse for me to paint lots of forests and fantasy creatures. I want to give a special thanks to Impendingriot and Tom for both helping me out with a ton of stuff, and David Orr for being really freaking awesome.

Some of the runes are hidden pretty well, but my playtesters were all able to beat the game without my help, so I know it can be done. And one of my play testers was an ape, so, just sayin'

No offense to the big ape. =P

Too dang difficult

Seriously, some of the differences I'm expected to find are practically invisible to the naked eye. I also don't like that there's a restriction on the number of hints you get in this game, much less such a small number as three. In every other spot the difference game I've played, you're given as many hints as you need, with restrictions on how often you can use them or having it affect your score.

These games.

Are really iffy. I couldn't even get passed the first level w/ 2 runes to find remaining and still can't find them after several tries.

I gave it 6/10 because it's a good game, but these kinds of games are either Winners or Losers depending on how easy people find it to play.

I can't give it anything higher than a 6/10 because I personally can't get passed the 1st level.

Maybe if it was easier then I'd score it higher but it's just too hard atm.

Eye Strain

A rough one for the genre - some of the differences really are just a couple pixels, and nearly invisible even to the discerning eye.

I completed two levels and stopped due to a pending headache.

good, but...

It's good, a serious challenge.

However.
Some of the spots are in-sane-ly difficult to find. Which makes you happy when you DO find it, but with having only three "backup" runes you're pretty much guaranteed to fail at completing the game unless you re-start from the beginning. And since the hints don't show you the location that you were missing, you still don't learn from it.

Imo, the three backup runes should be changed to a "one hint" per level rather than a backup rune. That way you can learn and progress through the game by starting over at least.

Personally, I'd give up on this the way it is. I seriously don't feel like sitting cross eyed at my monitor any longer, hoping I'll notice three pixels being off. The blurry screen on the right make for the cake and just adds to the annoyance. Especially the darn blurry line that comes through so and then to distract you from your search.

And like most difference games, it'd be real nice if the screens were equalized when you find a spot. Rather than having a big red rune drawn on a spot, which kind of works distracting.

Also, the left and right screen are slightly (8 pixels) off. e.g. the left screen has 8 pixels more on the right side, while the right side has 8 pixels less on the left side. This will create the impression of something being different on the edges while in truth there's no difference there.

A little too difficult

Some of these differences are really hard to distinguish.

Also, I would have preferred it if using a Backup Rune actually displayed which difference I'd missed in the images, so I could learn from my mistakes.
