Sorry the game was so hard, was just trying to make something colorful and happy, but not too easy like so many. I'll try to do a better job next time. ^_^

Hi guys, I know this is a super complicating game or anything but I think it is semi challenging and a really good excuse for me to paint lots of forests and fantasy creatures. I want to give a special thanks to Impendingriot and Tom for both helping me out with a ton of stuff, and David Orr for being really freaking awesome.

Some of the runes are hidden pretty well, but my playtesters were all able to beat the game without my help, so I know it can be done. And one of my play testers was an ape, so, just sayin'

No offense to the big ape. =P

Confusing

I'm have to admit, this is probably the first game I couldn't beat the first level without a "cheat" of some kind. The paintings and music are really epic, and I can tell you put a lot of effort into this game just based off those two parts. However, I don't know what you fed that ape playtester, but this is extremely difficult bordering on impossible. Maybe it's just me, but trying to find one pixel-sized color difference between two stupidly similar pictures with one of them fuzzing and slightly moving isn't really fun. I seriously on the second level accidently found a rune UNDER the middle-bottom plate. I'm not sure if that's your idea of "well hidden", but's kind of rediculous when you have to find a difference with a picture you can't see. Also, the red markings when you find a rune are really distracting. They stand out the most from the pictures, so that's what your eyes are drawn to when you to look at them. Lastly, the Backup Runes stopped working for me after I only used them once. This game has great potential, keep it up!

A little right, but a lot wrong

I've come to the point where I understand that games shouldn't be graded on how good they look or sound, but how well they play, how immersive they are, and how much originality goes into them. And while this game looks great, has solid music, and even a story, you, as the creator, need to realize that no matter how hard you try to dress it up, this is STILL another stupid spot the difference game.

There are some things you did right, don't get me wrong. The dual-pointers actually helped out more than I thought they would, helping to highlight key differences and help me get a pinpoint on the areas I was looking for. I also highly appreciated the backup runes, as there were times when you fell into the unfortunate trend of making the differences so small that you have to study the picture religiously to notice them.

Look, if you drew all this, you have talent, but you should use that talent for projects that befit your skill, not make you seem lazy. Nobody that matters likes these kinds of games, and nobody that's actually worth something to your reputation ever will. Bring us something a little more original next time.

Too dang difficult

Seriously, some of the differences I'm expected to find are practically invisible to the naked eye. I also don't like that there's a restriction on the number of hints you get in this game, much less such a small number as three. In every other spot the difference game I've played, you're given as many hints as you need, with restrictions on how often you can use them or having it affect your score.

These games.

Are really iffy. I couldn't even get passed the first level w/ 2 runes to find remaining and still can't find them after several tries.

I gave it 6/10 because it's a good game, but these kinds of games are either Winners or Losers depending on how easy people find it to play.

I can't give it anything higher than a 6/10 because I personally can't get passed the 1st level.

Maybe if it was easier then I'd score it higher but it's just too hard atm.
