This is a Tribute to SRM, which is created and owned by Campbell McLaughlin. I do not own SRM nor do I claim to own SRM.

After working on this for 3 weeks, this is possibly my best animation ever. However, the audio is a little screwy in certain parts, so be advised, keep the audio moderate.

I hope you all Enjoy. Positive Feedback will not be responded to. Constructive Criticism will.

NOTE: There's a little Easter egg after the Credits! I am sure you'll see it, but I am not telling

SRM'S VOICE IS SCARY

like batman by the way this sucks alot BOO!

DingoWalleyStudio responds:

Well thank you very much for your constructive Criticism! While I do believe this doesn't suck (Creator of SRM right below and he thought it was pretty decent), I will admit, I cannot do a decent SRM. If he allows, I am planning on doing something with Hethro Herzl (The Jethro Jebidiah Parody Character) soon. Maybe that one won't suck.

Also, please post a little bit more when you criticize one of my cartoons. I'd like to be able to fix those issues with later things.

Outlandish and hilarious

Who's this SRM guy anyway?

After watching this, I'm not quite sure if I'd qualify it as fanart or as parody. It seemed to be too out there to be straight up fan work, but sarcastic enough to be parody. Whichever it was, I found this pretty hilarious. There's a lot of fairly obscure references in there that even I had to think about!

The animation wasn't that great - the thing I always did for the mouths was rotate them from the bottom of the jaw, rather than the middle. You can just move the anchor point when you have the movie clip selected with the free transform tool. I've moved on to frame by frame animation since then, but it does look a lot better.

The rough linework seemed more like a stylistic choice than anything. Ironically, I'm gravitating more towards rough linework these days. However, the real focus here was the humor for me. To be fair I made most of the stuff you're parodying, so it was probably more entertaining to me than it would be to most folks.

Anyway, I enjoyed this a lot. I'm not sure how much people who aren't so familiar with these cartoons will like it, but you've got my vote already. If anything it reminds me to get off my ass and make a new SRM cartoon, since I haven't made a longform one in like a year. Keep doing what you're doing.

mmmhmmm

Mouths move with the words please. That annoyed the HECK out of me. lol

This is, all in all, pretty good, but the quality is still very lacking.
Anyways, I'll pass this. It's good enough to land on the site.
Just for future note, adding polish to these will up your score BIG time.
When you start hitting the mid to high 3 range with your ratings on this site, you KNOW you are doing awesome.
But right now, I'm seeing about a mid 2. Not bad tho. Keep up the good work.

DingoWalleyStudio responds:

Yeah, I bet. This was my first (possibly only) attempt at manipulating Movie Clips, so it's clearly not the best lip sync. Thanks for passing it (with a 3). And I'll try to add Polish (whatever that is). Next Flash is gonna be a Frame by Frame instead of the Movie Clip Puppetry.

Okay

Lol I like the story, it was gewd yo. :D But If you make a sequel go buy some better voice recording equipment or whatever cause near the end when blue was screaming it was like impossible to hear him. But I would like to see you use these characters alot.

DingoWalleyStudio responds:

Thanks. Currently I use A Rock Band 1 Microphone and Audacity. I should get a better microphone at least. As to seeing those characters again, I am not sure. This is after all just a Tribute to SRM. If you wanna see more of SSM, just look up SRM, it's a very popular show here on Newgrounds.
