Part 3 of 3.
Thanks for all the support. Glad some of you got something from watching these experiments.
This is quite an old animation, so I'm willing to cut it quite a bit of slack. The graphics do the job just fine and convey the points you're trying to make. I tend to enjoy works of the imagination that have a couple of layers on top of the actual message, and this animation fits the bill perfectly.
However, I feel that a good symbolic movie should not require complex analysis to be understood by someone who really is paying attention. Some of the best movies of this type just quietly insinuate the message without you noticing, so that by the end of it you feel like somewhere deep in your mind, the message has been understood. Still, good stuff, and really, its a matter of perspective, so good show.
P.S, I have to say, its a bit insulting to be told that I'm not capable of understanding 'deep' stuff because I happen to be male. Seriously, I'm generally opposed to PC hypersensitivity (OMG! racism! etc.) but sexism goes both ways.
Still pretty incomprehensible
There is almost no continuation between the 3. Given the apple and what is apparently Satan, it references the fall of mankind, or more specifically, Eve/Lilith. Secondly, implying that women will understand it better is just annoying. Putting some nudity and Enya in a submission doesn' t make it feminine or feminist. I think any subtle clues are lost on the viewer because they don't have insight into your thought process and if the series depends heavily on "women's instinct", you're failing to realize that there isn't some magical telepathic connection that causes all women to think alike or even have similar values.
The animation ranges from god awful (her walking) to pretty cool (the rotatiing camera). The art is so-so, though I understand it is somewhat difficult to draw with a mouse. They really should have been one movie, each part is so short they don't really contain a whole lot.
THE LAST ONE WAS THE BEST
The lack of dialogue and just the presentation as a whole really establishes itself well. And forces the individual to truly think about it and allows us to construct our own logical explanation and theory as to what it means.
i understand why you said that even after watching the whole thing you may still be saying what the ****.ummmmmm now you said that this is "for the few women NG goers anyway" so i can't reply for that group, but could you at least explain to the man NG goers what the **** is going on, because i really want to know. can you please reply.
