Now there's a new version available for iPhone, iPad and Android! Head to light-bot.com for download links!

Light-bot is back, more puzzling than ever! Use programmer-style logic to tell the bot how to light up all the blue tiles! Functions, conditionals, recursion, expert levels- many different features for new and old players.

Light-bot 2.0 is a collection of a lot of the ideas I received from the first one and I want to thank each and every supporter of the original game. This would not be the same game it is now without you all!

Big thanks to Shael Riley and the Double Ice Backfire (http://www.shaelriley.co m/) for creating an addictive soundtrack- one of the songs is a remix of the original Puzzling tune!

If you get stuck you can always check out the walkthrough made by the legendary Tasselfoot or roll over
the question mark in game to read a description of everything in the game.
Have Fun :)

A good concept

First time I have ever seen a recursive (function call inside a function) approach in newgrounds, nicely done.

A real review below. Not just a comment to it!

Not any dummy can play this game. The logic needed to do every level is high and needs lots of patience. With the logic come the exellent programing that came with it.Even though the programing was worked on from lightbot 1,much time was (I think) used wisely to create a game as good as this. The person may not be a master artist, but good just for a fun time. Also, the link for a walkthrough is a good idea that many have come up with, you know how many noobs there are out there(somtimes I am too).
I would like a comment to see what you think about my review, but you don't have too. o_q

Amazing! Very challenging!

I remember playing the first game a long time ago; I don't recall much though.

This game is definitely amazing, though. It's like programming in a sense, and yet so completely different. With such limited number of commands and inflexibility of control statements, you have to create some really clever, hyper-efficient (or hyper-flexible) programs to solve these levels; thinking inside the box really gets you nowhere.

It's sometimes a little TOO challenging though ... =P Maybe I just need to concentrate a bit more and get used to the thought processes.

My only criticism for now is that the turn icons keep confusing me, because they go through a full 180-degree, so the arrowhead is pointing in a direction that's opposite of intuitive to me...

Cool.

This one is a lot better than the first one. I like the new color and stop action command. Also, this is a LOT harder than the first one. This one is almost literally mind blowing (I have to stop playing it for a while or my brains might explode). I actually needed to take a look at the walkthrough on this one. And the level editing option is pretty cool.

As a programmer, I can say that this is almost like programming. When you have some kind of problem in the programming, you have to stop for a while, think again, think of possible ways of solving it, etc. Sometimes you need someone else to help you. And when you finally succeed, you get all happy because of that. And then move on, so you can find more bugs/glitches and more stuff to fix, lol. Maybe this doesn't happen to everyone, but it happens to me a lot. Well, programming isn't an easy thing.

So, this is a pretty good game, it's hard, but it's cool. Good job.
