Note: This is the official release to Newgrounds of the Game stolen a few days ago by someone pretending to be me :( , if you've already played it, please vote how you liked it, though you should now play it with it's proper aspect ratio, it's much better :D

The idea behind this game was to push how large of a single Movieclip I could make each level, and in the process pay tribute to my absolute favourite game on the PS2, Shadow of the Colossus, which hopefully will be seeing an HD re-release on PS3 soon!

Play as a mysterious Pale Man of the North in a quest to rid the Kingdom of a most unusual plague, and in the process win the throne to the empire!

I hope you enjoy this little cinematic style game, I've really tried to squeeze the atmosphere in. Featuring music from Duncan Fenn of The Red Swan Hotel, which you should defintely check out in the link to the side and the as usual brilliant http://www.Incompetch.com

Great

I love this game! I don't know what it is but I just can't stop playing. I played it before, when someone posted it pretending to be you, and loved it. I was looking for it all over the site and couldn't find it, it made me real sad.

Good Storyline, Easy controls, Way to Repetitious

This was not a bad game, by any means. Although the stroy line was the only thing keeping me going. The Game Play was, to say the least, monotonous at best. No action, just jump, walk left or right or scout. The only glimmer of action was when you finished a map and stabbed the monster once. ONLY ONCE. with a monter 100 times the size of you. The controls are left, right, z and x, Easy controls, but again way to repetitious. Maybe a double jump or being able to jump off the walls. The game is not a bad game, but just plain Boring.

7 out of 10 for story
3 out of 10 for movement
1 out of 10 for game play

Wicked cool.

Logged in for the firs time in years to congratulate you on good work. The climbing animations could be better, but the idea is solid and well executed. I'd like to see a hell of a lot more from you.

A fitting tribute to SotC

As soon as I made that leap of faith and realized what I was platforming on, I thought: "OHCRAPOHCRAP SOTC FLASH VERSION". Very well done, gameplay is perfect, and the story gave me pause to think.

Very few stories do nowadays. So, what else to say? Tres fantastique! Moar plz!

Trully Worth SOTC Tribute

You made it beautifully and that game is one of my favorites, took me 2 days to finish it all and I did spent one whole night awake to finish the last boss, you made the jumps tricky at some points but I kind of hoped it would be harder and more chalenging like the game you got the idea from, nevertheless I cannot compare a ps2 game with a flash game and for an adaptation such as this I do not think anyone could've made it better, at least on a first attempt.

My only complaim is that you made them not move at all, you made the screen tremble sometimes but that was it, the true beauty of Shadow of the Colossus was to actually feel them moving while you were leaping so you could feel them alive, this game made me feel like I was trying to reach the top of a steady mountain with occasional earthquakes. But that won't affect my score on your tribute, as I said, I cannot compare a ps2 game to a flash game, the possibilities are limited and you did a masterfull job with the resources you had.

Also, one last thing, personall note here so you don't need to listern to me, but the fact that every time he was not moving he'd pray kind of made it look weird.

Either way, great game, great tribute. Hope to see more coming from you and the games you like.
