A short introduction to a new series we're starting. It follows Max on his adventure through the Pokemon world. Not the typical parody. It's gonna be serious.

Majority of this video was recorded from an emulator. In new additions the walking and most of the interacting scenes will be animated. Some of the battle scenes will be recorded though (we have a lack of battle animations and certain sprites, if anyone has any ideas or wants to help us with this please PM me)

So, furthermore, here's Max's Atypical Adventure!

What can I say?

You would have scored A LOT more if you created this yourself, not filmed with on an emulator, my guess VBA? Pokemon flash' on Newgrounds are all parodys, not many serious. So I am happy you're creating a serious one.

Just give it your all and re-make this one, by creating everything yourself, if you need sprites I would be the guy to ask(you could also ask your friend, google). I would however be glad to help you out as I am pretty experienced with flash, create my own Pokemon sprite backgrounds and have a place in my heart for Pokemon <3.

BUT, practise makes perfect and the more time you spend on a project the better it will turn out.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for being more optimistic. The only reason we used the emulator for this part, is because we didn't know or want to recreate the entire intro sequence. Right now we're animating everything (besides the intro sequence). We just found the font we need and we'll be changing the dialogue, and some of the events that happen.

You have sprites you say? Sooner or later I'm gonna need a few NPC sprites, and maybe a few tilesets. Also, if you have battle animations, transition scenes, and battle NPC stuff, then I would be greatly appreciated if you could help us with it.

If you wanna join the team, just shoot me a PM and we'll work something out, because we're just starting out and a great way to better at animating and such is to work with someone who's already experienced.

Thank you for your review! It helps a lot. :]

Eh.

At first, I thought this was going to be...Eh, a funny twist on the actual game. I guess I was wrong? The fact that you're actually playing through the real game makes it uninteresting and boring for me. (Having already played through most of the game myself. This really doesn't seem like the kind of website to post this. And, (Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't ther supposed to be a disclaimer there somewhere!?!?) Also, not enough content to keep the viewers coming if you plan on continuing the series. I think you could build on this though, good luck with any other projects you might have planned. I haven't put any stars for this because I really can't judge it. You didn't make any of this. :(

It's all we could do for a starter. We understand it's a bad start to a series, but once it gets rolling, it will definitely get better. We had to work with what we had.

An okay start

It's good that you started your own series but I'm not sure how it's going to stand out compared to other Pokemon stuff in Newgrounds. Good luck to you and this though to make it there.

it's gonna be serious, and not just typical potty mouth humor or internet meme's. It'll be a serious series (hehe) and more professional done (in a way).
