This was my first attempt at a kinetic typography, for a final project in my animation class. It's off in a couple places, but due to a crash and the re-loading of scenes I had finished directly into flash, there's nothing I could do. I hope you enjoy anyways!

I do not own the absolutely amazing music, which happens to be a song called One Week by the Barenaked Ladies.

Made in Flash Professional 8!

Wow...

Wow syncing really got off as it got going.

On a personal note, I am not at all a fan of music videos that take what the person is saying in literal terms, it just shows that no effort was taken to think of any deeper meanings (Metaphors).

And yeah...lol syncing got really off.

hahaha. this made me smile.

Well this could be good. but it's out of sync... like by... alot. You could have something happening at the bridge part. I would love to watch the improved version of this!

Syreas responds:

It's been improved thanks to DannyP's help. If you wouldn't mind watching it again, I hope you enjoy it!

Out of sync

I highly recommend fixing the sync issue ASAP. Open the file in Flash, go to the frame you have the music on, open the Properties panel, and set "Sync" to "Stream". This will make the audio pause when you pause the movie and it will keep it in sync with the movie. It will also allow you to listen to the song from any point when you're testing the movie in Flash (like, when you just press the Enter key without publishing the SWF file).
The text was fairly interesting, but it could've used some more pictures. I dunno, it's hard to say since it went so out of sync.

I also recommend crediting the song in your description or in the submission information. The latter is better since it promotes the musician better and links to an Amazon search for the band name, so you can sorta use that as an excuse if you ever get in trouble for using the song without permission.

Really good

But the animation goes faster than the song itself. keep up the work!

Syreas responds:

I fixed it! :D

Well

You did put some effort into making this; however, it seems that you only use words and a very small amount of drawing. Your timing is also very off within the entire flash. So, you get 5 for effort and just doing it. Work hard and you will get better.

Syreas responds:

Thanks for the support. The issue was because of my computer lagging; it couldn't support the full video. With advice from another Newgrounds member, I was able to get the timing correct. Thanks!
