This feels like an old animation done with hand drawn storyboard and it just feels good in all the ways!

Uniquely Tasty

This surprising, charming flash is about a man who falls down into an in house garden and gets eaten by a plant. It's abstract, to the extent of it being an inexplicable dream. The raw length was particularly low, and it is a shame that you are not able to compress the file size down further to allow more footage.

The whole flash was atmospheric and captivating, and made a somewhat distinctive impression on me. However my real issue was with the expression of the story. There were almost no implicit cues that signified any moral or meaningful purpose to the story and barely any emotions were conveyed effectively by the characters. If it's going to be a small flash, then it is important that you get to the point. It's painful to build up to a climax that ends up feeling lightweight.

Without any doubt the graphics here are overwhelmingly superior; the details astonishing. The animation looks highly professional and comprised of amazing visuals. The shadowing and texturing of the wall paintings are phenomenal; the lighting both gloomy and clear. You seem to have used some editing tools to give the whole film a gentle filmstrip effect.

However something is annoying me severely... and that is the lack of contrast in the opening staircase scene. The dark areas make it look like I'm looking at a flat screen monitor from the perspective {angle} that makes everything appear blue and purple, although everything else is perfect. Another problem is the animation; the man climbs the stairs very unrealistically - falling back on every step as if the staircase was made of liquid.

The sound choice was very obscure, but it was adequate for the oddity of the flash. The sound effects accompanied it well although they sounded somewhat quiet and rusty. A silent backdrop of great stair cranking ambience may have suited it well, with the music appearing upon the first view of the flower.

This is something I would watch again, but only the graphics capture the memory. And seriously, most of the negative issues only reflect some of my taste in this genre of entertainment. What is clear is that this has been executed almost flawlessly and if it were longer and more expressive then it would be unconditionally epic. You have a huge abundance of talent and present it with a truly visionary style.
