Pocket Fighter Nova is the flash edition of Super Pocket Fighter (mini street fighter). It uses an original flash FTG engine and retains most original fighting skills, but commands are simplified, which makes you feel more excited, scarcely taking your eyes off it.

Compared to six buttons in other fighting games, there are three buttons in Pocket Fighter Nova, which makes you easy to control. Pocket Fighter Nova also features "Flash Combos", where the player can perform a combo by pressing the Kick or Punch button after striking their opponent with the Punch button for a total of four hits. Flash Combos will usually cause a Character to change into various costumes during the sequence.

It has many funny fighting skills such as Chun-Li delivering love letter, Ken playing football, Hsien-Ko playing bowling and so on, making you can't bear to put them down.

An AMAZING port

I'm a huge fan of pocket fighter (Super gem fighter in japan) So when i saw this i was coming in with a slight bias against it. I had played other flash versions of other SF games and none of them had really called out to me.

Then i played this and was blown away.
The simplified button setup makes it a breeze to play, even on a keyboard.
The simplified special moves makes the game feel more like MvC2, but it still doesn't lose a single nano of its original charm.
The graphics run incredibly smooth, and look very good and true to the original.
The Sound was just awesome, Sounded just like the original.
The combos, hit boxes, projectiles, All worked flawlessly, as if capcom itself had made this.

I am honestly impressed, and would like to see more of your work come to newgrounds.

It's looks fun if you don't own the game but...

I have the playstaion version and I wish you gave the option to play with six buttons. It looks faithful to the original, but I have no reason to play it as is. If you add online multiplayer then I most certenlly will be playing it all the time. It gets boring beating up on the computer at times, I'm talking about the PS one by the way.
