Back again, Newgrounds, with another completely different game

Armies of glowing pixels wage war in this fast-paced tactical action game. Employ a mix of clever strategy and brute force to dominate your opponents. New surprises await you on each battlefield. Up to eight armies can fight with thousands of pixels on screen at once.

Controls: Point and click 'n drag

-Attempted workaround for endless line-drawing browser bug. Clicking on the game screen once should stop it if it occurs now.
-Fixed a score entry bug that could break the game.
-Tweaked The Boss to be less exploitable.
-Improved badge support.
-Bombing runs should stop on Victory.
-Resume button wasn't working in some cases.
-Disabled High Scores button since Mochi is blocked here.
-Fixed Level 13 so bases don't get pushed off-screen.

Simple but Brillant

Tactical, yet simple enough to be enjoyed on any mental level.

Excellent peice of work

acrazycanadian responds:

Thank you! I think that comes from using Action games as an inspiration instead of RTS ones.

I really think..

The only thing missing is a level creator, and of course, moar levlz!! XD
I betcha the sequel will be even awesome-er! =D

acrazycanadian responds:

If enough people want the level editor I will definitely make it a big priority for any sequels.

I love your work and although I'm not much of a strategist, I got farther than I thought I would. Was a teensy bit disappointed at the lack of a level editor, but code is so confusing so I don't blame you. The neon pixels were definitely the right art style for this concept, and probably has WAY less lag than drawn out troops. I love it.

A couple sequel ideas:
Level editor (Duh)
More than one type of troop. (circular "pixels" could be brutes, for example) this would require some micromanagement

acrazycanadian responds:

Thanks for the ideas, I'm not sure where I'll take a sequel if I do one. Lots of possibilities.

Yeah, the idea to use pixels was so I could have massive armies without too much lag. Worked better than I expected although the big levels can still get pretty rough. My engine's a little better at handling slowdown in general now, though.

this game is just plain awsome
im not very into strategy games because they usually are sooo slow but this one evrything is so fast paced all the levels are fun but level 10 is a bitch every dude will try to kill you
i really dont have nothing to complain about this game...
oh the A.I isnt really smart their base usually doesnt change position and they never try to flank you while its still chalenging it would be nice if the A.I acted a litle more realistic(i am nitpicking but it is noticeble)

acrazycanadian responds:

I don't really like strategy games either so I was inspired to make it more like an action game.

The AI was difficult to handle so I just tried to make it fun instead of super intelligent. Hopefully I can improve on it in the future. Some levels, they're supposed to gang up on you :) They're usually handicapped in some way, though.

Simply perfect. The graphics are beautiful. The gameplay is fantastic. The concept is superb. This is an awesome game, 10/10, without a doubt one of the best games I've ever played. This has been added to my favourites on both my web browser and NewGrounds, and I have the link in a file openable straight from my computer. A brilliant game.

acrazycanadian responds:

Awesome, thanks. You should keep tabs on the high scores if you can beat all the campaign levels. Since scores are saved people can constantly come back to raise their totals.
