EDIT: I just want to respond to all of the reviewers saying that the man's character movement was delayed and sometimes had a low frame rate. What you have to understand is that this animation was put together in Motion not Flash. So in order to actually have the man in the animation I had to export him as a mov. file with an alpha channel from Flash and import him into Motion. This created a bunch of timing problems which weren't my fault and that is why you see some delays. But I personally think that despite all of the problems I encountered when getting Flash animation into Motion, the timing isn't actually that bad, but I will agree that the animation lags a little bit in a couple of places. But yeah, I just wanted to clear a few things up, cos I did put a massive amount of work into this, it took me over 2 months to make.

A man misses the bus and comes across a mysterious box in a back alley. Is this just an ordinary box? Or is it something much more than that?!

For those wondering, this animation was made using Flash CS4/CS3, Motion 3 and Swift 3D v.6. Oh yeah and the track used is: All For U (Instrumental) by RJD2.

THAT...

...was weird. For me, it's not good enough, and the graphic was a bit off. But I really like the paper wrinkled sky you make. And the character movement (like RoastySmith said) was a bit choppy. And the story is too short!

I've seen your other flashes and they're much better than this one. So, I'm sure you could do more :)

Keep it up. (Y)

Just one question...

...why was it called "Metamorphosis?" Is the box with bug-like legs suposed to imply the "Motamorphosis" written by Franz Kafka?

I'M SERIOUS ABOUT THIS!

I loved the animation, very interesting style and 3-D work. However...

PLEASE redo this animation with one change: Make it so the surprised bus driver stops the bus, and then the bus blows up. This would imply that the bus driver was driving fast because if he dropped below 50 miles per hour, the bus would blow up. Then it'd add humor to the animation.

Aside from that, your character movement was choppy, ESPECIALLY AT THE PART WHERE THE GUY IS BEING DROPPED IN THE BUS!

Change that and you'd be one of the top animators in Newgrounds, or at least, one of the most interesting.

Disappointing

With such a positive start, it was a let down for me. I really disliked the character animation, it wasn't as fluid or as complete as the environment and camera work.

The textures were beautiful and the music accompanied the film well. Try and work on your flash skills a bit more, in particular the character animation and facial expressions, but apart from that it was a very visually appealing flash with some very nice camera work, definite potential here.

Keep it up.

Extraordinary

This is a new style of animation I've rarely see someone have the ability to do. Almost like a new style of animation. It smoothly blends the style of 2d and 3d animation almost perfectly.
Also, cool story by the way. i hope to see more in the future!
